A great place for a picnic, there are indeed many natural beauties to be enjoyed, such as the Teesta Rail Bridge, Sevak Pahar, and New Sivok railway station.
Most popular Picnic spot of the Sevoke area... located near the railway bridge on the banks of the Teesta river...it remains crowded with people during the winter season... the scenic view is beautiful with the backdrop of Himalayan range and greenish blue colour water of the Teesta river... Sevoke (also Sevok or Sivok) is a small town near Siliguri in the Darjeeling district of West Bengal state of India near the border with Sikkim state. It is a part of Dooars, Sevoke lies on the bank of River Teesta. The town has two bridges namely Coronation Road Bridge and Sevoke Railway Bridge over River Teesta. Many army and BSF camps are located in the area. The Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary is situated in this area. National Highway NH10 passes through the town and connects Sevoke town to Gangtok and Siliguri. National Highway 17 originates from Sevoke near Coronation Bridge and terminates in Guwahati.
Nice place to visit for a walk or picnic..from a distance the view of sevok rail bridge and the mountain in the backdrop with flowing river make this place unforgettable .. there are colourful stones and rocks spreading through out the place..but there is an issue regarding cleanliness of this place..
