Teesta Karala Meeting Point Jalpaiguri - Tourist attraction in Mandalghat - Jalpaiguri, India

The Road is very bad. If you have Off Road bike then go. Practically there is no road

Place is safer due to nearby Mandalghat locality (crossing the Karala river except monsoon time). Local brave people roam around this place. Wide angle view of this place is very enjoyable !!

Peaceful place, perfect for a time spent for half-day from Jalpaiguri town. However, it's safer not to stay after the sunset, and to go in a group of at least 5-6 people.

Teesta Karala Meeting Point is not recommended for all tourists since it's a pocket area, difficult to reach. But it's a nice place to spend a few hours for local populace, anglers, bird watchers, photographers & nature lovers in general. River Karala origins at Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary & meets Teesta here. It's a 6 km drive along right hand bund of Teesta from Jubilee Park, Jalpaiguri Town. The road is difficult for driving. No public transport is available beyond Jubilee Park. The panoramic view of the place worth watching. Teesta is quite wide here & the left bank is hardly visible. Aquascape of two rivers meandering side by side before meeting with each other will certainly arise pleasant feeling. The daily life of people residing in the sand bed & their river dependent lifestyle also worth watching.

Vast emptiness. Can enjoy local joy rides. The approach road is a bit offroad.
