The dam is small and nice getaway from Mumbai. It is closed during rainy season and once can see from outside. Here you have tapri for tea and snacks nearby. Not a very big place for parking but one can manage

On the way to Alibaug, we stopped to stretch our legs. It is not so prominently visible, but it is a nice spot to take some pictures with the nature and hang out for a while.

This Dam is best for weekends plan in rainy season
Water reservoir which supplies water to nearby villages during summer. Well, it has become a tourist spot now. During Rainy season, as it located on the highway leading to alibag, tourist coming to alibag stop by to hangout for a while, during this season, the dam overflows and due to this, an artificial waterfall is created on the opposite side of the dam. People come here to enjoy it. The most amazing part of this waterfall is, if you hold a towel perpendicular to the dam wall, you'll be able to catch some fish falling from top of the dam.
Best spot before Alibag - Karlekhinda. You may visit this spot for occasion of Rainy trip as dam overflows resulting in waterfall on its other side. Best season to come at this spot is Monsoon.
