Taste Of India, Kuttanadan Restaurant - Featured Reviews (240)
Food: we had 1. Prawns and 2. Careemen fish and both were the best we have had in our lives. The taste, the texture and the smell were all something above the world.
Price: will seem a bit high (2000 per kg for prawns and 1000 per kg for fish), but it's worth all the money
Quick service and great courteous staff who serve the food
Once in Alleppey, don't miss going here at all... ask your boat or shikara ride driver to get you there.
Taste was really good but overpriced.
All the boats are stopping right opposite to the restaurant so almost all people have no other option.
250g karimeen was 300Rs which was way too much. Anywhere else in Alappuzha you can get it for half or even less than half of the price. And the prawns was 2000Rs per kg.
Omlette was 50Rs. And it's a very small average shop.
Except for the price factor everything is good.
Not value for money.
It is an amazing restaurant and is accessible only by boat. The people are so welcoming here. I visited around 9am and ordered kormane fish(grilled) its bit pricy but trust me its the most delicious fish i ever ate and is 10 times worth the pricw. They have also given us raw mango as well for free.
Worth visiting this place.
The food was so delicious and the ambience was too good....worth every penny..must try this restaurant if you are cruising through the backwaters
Loved the food , one of the best in Kerala must try their kareemen fish
Had experience of Idli and Sambhar while my travel through the backwater. This restaurant is only accessible by boat and not by road. Having food here will give you one of a special experience due to its location advantage.
The restaurant offers both lunch and breakfast item during the visit time. As I am a pure vegetarian and I was at peak of hunger so I have the only option left to take lite food here and I eat idli and sambar. The taste was below average but treatment of the owner and other staffs was very good.
However if you are a non vegetarian then you may have a good experience of Malabari food here.
In our Kerela trip, the worst experience we had was in the food department on account of lack of good vegetarian options. But this place was THE best and most authentic vegetarian Kerela food experience we have had ! The location and service here are amazing as well and the eagles that have been trained here to interact with us tourists, are the cherry on the cake!
This is the worst hotel i have visited in my life.
The food was so tasteless and there was no water in the toilets.
I don't know how this hotel got a good score on google reviews.
Do not refer to the Google reviews to visit this hotel.

We had an unforgettable experience at this homestay. The hosts Praveen greeted us with genuine warmth, and their home-cooked meals were a culinary delight. Every dish showcased authentic flavors and local ingredients, giving me a true taste of Kerala
Must experience once in a life & must experience village life of Alleppey also. They will take you to village in small boat . Narrow way in backwaters . It was beautiful. Large scale backwaters. Better to book penthouse boat house . We can see beauti
We were brought here by our Shikara driver, and we were doubtful about how touristy is was going to be. But the prawns were really good and the Thali was the best we've had so far .
