Tashiling Residency Hotel & Spa - Hotel in Rongyek, Gangtok - East District, India

I was visiting Gangtok for 4 nights with family and I feel staying in Tashiling was the best decision we made. The hotel, service and hospitality here was absolutely wonderful. I was very pleased by the quality and cleanliness of the room, restaurant and the whole hotel. When we reached, we were welcomed with tea/coffee and upon request they specially prepared green tea for us. The soothing music at the reception (tune of Om Mani Padmeham) was quite wonderful and became my favourite tune for meditation for the next few days. The room was very spacious, just like what can be seen in pictures online and the balcony was the best part. We had the perfect view of the mountains from there. Would surely recommend going for the rooms with private balcony. The bathroom was medium sized but clean and well maintained. Both the chefs, Chef Abhishek and Chef Sameer made our stay extremely pleasant, enjoyable and memorable with their delicious preparations. Each and every dish was well prepared with great quality ingredients and hygiene. The buffet and the dosas in breakfast were absolutely delicious! And the rotis were buttery, crispy and just right. Everything was freshly prepared. The best part was that the staff was very accommodative, they made dishes for us on special request in breakfast as well. The servers who served us - Roshan, Aditya and Sagar were brilliant in their service. They were attentive to what we needed on the table, had a smile on their face, greeted us with casual conversations and overall very well behaved, just the kind of service one would want. With every meal, we had the most delicious honey, ginger and lemon tea. This was one of the best parts about staying here. The receptionist Yogita was also very kind and helpful to guide us with places to visit in Gangtok. We also got the number of a taxi driver from here who took us around the city. The collection of local souvenirs at the hotel is a must to check out for all the shopping lovers. We bought some nice silk pouches, keychains, hand-painted napkin and fridge magnets. Everything is also very reasonably priced. All in all, we had an excellent stay here at Tashiling. Their brilliant service was the highlight. I would surely recommend staying here if you're visiting Gangtok. The location is also quite well distanced from major attractions.

Very far from the city and grooming to the main market is not possible once you enter after sight seeing. Limited choice for food. Also quality of food is not good. House keeping poor response, despite multiple complaints for repairing of washroom flush no one attended. Service staff is new, on temporary basis and unprofessional. Even on request with payment they refused to provide hotel vehicle.

First of all ist not a 5 star. The wall itself of the room are such that u can here your neighbors shouting. Our trip was divided in 2 part stay at Tashiling residency the first night was horrible because the family besides our room were shouting like anything and we were tired and the whole night got very disturbed and in reception no body picked up the phone. But the stay after when we came back from lachen and lachun , the room we got was nice that was the terrace rooms, only that's good for staying. Food is good, hospitality is also good but too much irritating staff for reviews on them, at the restaurant. Review is something that anyone will give on their own willingness, interest and experience.

We are at the last day of our week long Sikkim stay and staying here has been a great closure to our vacation. Food: 5/5 almost 7 days and many restaurant later, the best food was at Tashiling Staff: 5/5 very friendly and always there to help Only down side is the location which is a bit away and needs 10 mins travel to city center. Other wise most recommended place to stay.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. They claim themselves to be 5 star hotel everywhere but it's no where nearer to 3 star even. They have fraudulently represented this hotel. Food, room, everything was below average. When we just reached the hotel few people were smoking at the entrance and throwing smoke at our face and staring which made us very uncomfortable. When GM was asked about the same, she conveniently told us that this is the smoking area. But later on one another girl from the staff revealed very innocently that " kya krein Sir vo drivers hain , hum kch keh bhi toh nahi sakte agar kch bolenge toh ye guest ko pick krne nahi aayenge.

Excellent hospitality provided by the Tashling residency employees. Especially, the guy who provided room service, the receptionist girl, and a guy (Aditya gayen) who worked in the restaurant. Mr. Aditya gayen has treat every people with good welcoming gesture. And, he is so kind in serving to the customers, with smiling face. The rooms are maintained in very hygiene, nice & safe place to stay. The private balcony gives us a pleasant feel. Actually, we are from tamil nadu. For me, this is the first time @ north east and we love the sikkim peoples warm welcoming gesture.

The hotel is really nice. Imposing with big rooms and good friendly staff. Service is good. The food is also good.
