The surrounding area is really beautiful specially in the evening. Most of the part of the station is left half constructed but still it looks good. There is are escalators for going up but it is not functioning. There is also a food court and Madras Coffee house for refreshment. This is the nearest station to the Tamil Nadu Law college.
Clean, less than adequate seating. Good place for bird watchers especially if they want to watch crows.
This station is still need more improvement. It is very difficult to find out ticket counter, it is placed end of the station. In station there are escalators there, in both platforms working fine. Platforms and entrance places look bad and not secure places for passengers.
You can get direct train to Velachery and beach from this station. No proper lighting outside station which leads difficulty for passengers traveling at night.
Easiest way to get to Chennai central and egmore. Metro access at Park town station. Like all MRTS stations needs maintenance and cleanliness
