TAPTAPANI HOT SPRING - Featured Reviews (1939)
Must visit temples of odisha specially those who are near to berhampur. This place is good for religious activities as well as shopping near the shopper market. Don't try out nearby restaurants as they are the worst in taste. Enjoy with your family, take a bath in the hot spring and get your chakras energized . Also there are a couple of parks and museums to explore around. Also the journey to this place is amazing as it is covered in the eastern ghat with turns and sloppy regions.
The scenic beauty is totally mesmerizing But the route to that spot is a black point and the driving should be done only by an Expert Be careful while driving in hill areas Otherwise everything is best..

The temple is situated beside the Ghat roads. Really beautiful roads and comes on the way to Jirang Buddhist Monastery. Had a nice experience at the temple.
This place is famous for a perennial hot spring of Medicinal Sulfuric Water which is located on the State Highways that connects Berhampur with Western Odisha. Being surrounded by a cluster of hills and thick forests, the serenity of nature at Taptapani is added by wonderful sights of sun rise, sun set moon lit night, tribal dance and music, chirps of birds and sight of wild animals. Taptapani is actually a hot spring, one out of eight in total in odisha and according to local folklore, has been around for more than 300 years. Worshipped by the tribals as Kandhuni Devi, Taptapani gets crowded during Sankrantis and festivals like Dussehra when people from the tribal villages nearby flock to worship the goddess. The place as such attracts large numbers of tourists of all category. One can best exploit the place through all seasons. Additionally, it can be bathed in at the pond created next to the hot spring but it found filled with so dirt and pollute so not recommended to bath actually.
This hot spring is a great sconce. I was happy to see it and spent sometime in this hot water. Beautiful experience and interesting people I have had
Taptapani(meaning tapta-pani or boiling water) is a hot spring and temple complex situated in the eastern ghats on the highway from Berhampur to Chandragiri. It is quite crowded with devotees and tourists most of the time. There is a deer park nearby as well. As it is situated on the road to jirang and khasada waterfall, hence can be included in a weekend trip or a tour.
