Usually it remains closed. Inside of narrow streets. Renovation work is on progress. May be in few months it would be a good spot for tourists.
This Bawadi (Stepwell) is one of the rarely visited historical spot inside old city. There is no proper maintenance done and lots of waste are dumped to same. So the locals shows disinterest in showing people the same because of concerns regarding cleanliness of the place. A group of youngsters have cleaned it recently so it's okay to visit. Located in interior of old city and is better to take Road behind Rao Jodha Desert Park than entering from Ghataghar. It is a beautiful place with historical feelings in Jodhpur. Please refrain from throwing waster around the surroundings if you're visiting.

Good architecture and locals swim here but was pretty dirty in my opinion.

It's an old, no- ancient water reservoir in jodhpur's old city. Lately it is regularly cleaned and well maintained and hence is quite clean Almost 95% of the Jodhpur old-city-kids learn how to swim here
