The area is have a lot of development industrially but back in the day peacocks would roam freely around here and you could spot some on the way to the beach. You still get to see the occasional few. Its a quiet beach not many people and you wouldn't want to go here if you'd wana stay away from trouble.
One of the top beaches in Mangalore. There are many areas and sections hence it has many multiple locations. This section area of the beach is nearly closed for public as there are shutting the beach area with mud to restrict entry of vehicles to the beach side. Also this section was used as a stunting area by many random biker.
There is work going on for the road, but we need to keep the beach clean

No good restaurants near by but beach itself is good and parking is available, not crowded.
A shortcut route for thaneerbhavi beach is to travel by city bus route no 16 from state bank to sultan battery (watch tower), Then we can enjoy boat ride from sultan batteri to thanneerbhavi, with a low coast, and after reached destination we can see also tree park, horse riding, etc
When no one's there this is heaven on earth.
Very beautiful beach....i felt it was very clean and calm with few people around and some food near.
