Very professional, experienced & customer friendly team in Oberoi Mall store. Specially would like to appreciate the Mr. Raju Kannoujia - Sr.Sales for his excellant cust oriented service & helping us choose the best jewellery set aswell guided us with old ornaments for buy back. In the process of melting old ornaments, he alongwith Mr. Ravindra the cashier worked beyond working hours till late night 12am to complete the process, which is highly appreciated. Also have to quote the name of Mr. Ashok Mondal, who is called as "Dada" with love & respect. His knowledge & experience in melting, cleaning gold ornaments is excellant & all the activity was done in front of us. The whole process has developed a solid confidence in us & we have bought more ornaments set in same week. Also planning to visit again in couple of days as they are expecting new designs for diwali. Overall impressed with the transperant policy & process laid by Tansihq Jewellery.

It was an interesting experience trying to shop here. They mentioned that for purchases exceeding a certain amount with an international card, they need to keep a copy of the passport. When I asked why, they first mentioned it's an RBI guideline. I asked where is the guideline and if they can point me to it, they suggested googling it (which doesn't really show up anywhere on search). Next one of the managers here mentioned it's company policy and not an RBI guideline. I suggested that I can show the passport, but I am not comfortable leaving copies. He then mentioned it's for customer protection, which is basically silly given how a consumer is protected by leaving sensitive, important documents which could potentially be leaked. Basically they make stuff up, claim it's government policy and engage in inappropriate practices. Better to take one's business elsewhere. EDIT: Response from Tanishq to this review: "We assure you all such practices are in compliance with company policy and for the safety and protection of our customers". Again, this fails to answer how exactly is leaving a copy of a sensitive identity document improving the safety and protection of consumers? Do they provide written guarantees to take full responsibility (legal and financial) in the case any of these documents get leaked? Finally, various countries like USA and in Europe have made it illegal to ask for and keep copies of such identity documents by entities such as retailers. I'm sure government legal guidelines supersede company policies.
