Tanatan - Restaurant in Lucknow - Lucknow, India

Great ambiance, great food, brilliant service. The only thing not so good about the place was that the table size is not very big. We took a table for 3 and it was constantly proving hard to fit all the items we ordered, on the table. The parking is assisted by a valet and the experience is very smooth. The live performance is an added bonus which adds to the whole ambiance of the place.

We went along with our family. Beside having a table booked, we waited for 30mins to just have a seat downstairs as love music can be heard from there only. Food took some time to get served but we enjoyed our wait time as live music was amazing. Valet service was available. Food is a little over prized for a city like Lucknow. But the restaurant's Ambience makes it worth it. The washrooms were a little dirty. Cherry on top as they support Diners cards so we got a good discount there.

Tanatan was a refreshing experience, beautiful antique decor and wonderful live music. The location is good too. The live kitchen below live music is another beauty. Don't take upstairs sitting otherwise you will miss all of this. Overall it's good place and good experience. Coming to food, starters were tasty, very less options in soup. Main course taste was fine but extremely oily. Veggies had excessive oil in it. Bill came around 3000 for 5 people.

This is an awesome place to go for dinner with family, friends, colleagues or with your date!! The ambience is mesmerizing with antic looks of the walls and interior with old and soothing music with mystic lights! Kids will enjoy this place too!! This was recommended by a friend and not by Google. :)

My experience wasn't good at all. Waited 45 mins to get the table and then another 15 mins to place the order. Management is pathetic and the vegetarian food options are very limited. Although the taste was decent and they took Kadhai Paneer order out of the menu, but they aren't the one to try traditional north indian cuisines. Example - Sirca onion, harabhara kabab, chaap, dahi kabab, grilled paneer platter etc. many other options were missing. Many other restaurants out there with traditional North Indian cuisines and better services. Overall: Not Recommended.

Went in for dinner with my family and I loved this place in lucknow. The dine in experience is great, it had live music and the aesthetics of the place were also amazing. Coming to tje food, we tried the murg atasha parchey, salli boti, murg tikka, and gosht e awadh. Loved all of them, great taste and the service as well. Must try is their salli boti with khameeri roti. All in all, we had a good time, and recommend it for tasty food!

Aside from the regal Indian aesthetics of the place, there is hardly anything worth mentioning about Tanatan. For starters, I ordered the Bhuna Chaap. While the quantity was decent, the quality of the mutton was really disappointing. It tasted stale. My parents got the khow suey samosa because they are vegetarians, and it tasted pretty good. I asked the waiter if I should get the prawn gassi or prawn mangalorean curry, and he suggested I order the former. I complied. However, I later regretted listening to him, because the gassi was really mid. The warqi paratha I ordered with it was fine. My parents got the vegetarian 'Dilli ki galiyo se' combo. The paneer makhani was absolutely tasteless, but the dal bukhara was decent. I ended my meal with their matka rabdi gulab jamun, which I liked. I am not sure if I will be visiting them again.

So have been to Tanatan couple of times . The ambience is classy and must be complemented. One of the great places to have North Indian food in Lucknow. The issue however is with the Live Music. The singer wasn't the best I have come across , we requested the staff to make him stop singing but it didn't help . That was the mood spoiler-otherwise service and taste of the food is good
