We had went on the Tirupati trip package organized by TTDC. The guide had all the arrangements in place in Tirupati and is well capable of managing the entire group without time delays. The food arrangements were done in good restaurants along the way. The only issue I had was with the state of the poorly maintained Volvo AC bus. The AC vents were broken in some places and there was a constant blast of cold air onto your face and no option to turn it down. This can make you fall sick as the to and fro journey could be around 6 -7 hours.

We have reached TTDC tourism by 4 AM but TTDC owned volvo bus has arrived late by 15 mins... On pickup, Driver drove straight to near by bus depot for tire replacement, wasted some 40 mins and started from depo an hour late. Note that even 10 mins late would cost you an hour wait during peak time in tirupati and these guys aren't really bothered about any delay time. The bus is maintained poorly, had bad odour, couldnt sit inside while waiting for tire replacement. Guide has sprayed some room spray after complaint but that only made it worst until bus movement. No basic check was done about bus condition before scheduled time and they are happily running 'SUNDARA Travels' like service. Note - TTDC has hired some private Volvo AC in great condition due to demand and those who got seats assigned were really lucky. In Tirupati, Guide has made us wait for more than hour to get free hair tonsure tickets but then we went inside and done hair tonsuring for Rs 50/- with no wait time and without his assistance while he was busy seeking free tickets and wasting time. And finally got into the temple queue post noon and returned by late evening from temple. Probability of you winning lottery is higher than reaching their customer service in a 1st or 2nd phone call.. In short, TTDC will make you experience typical government service in tourism department.

One day tirupati tour package I travelled to tirupati and padmavati temple in their one day tour package on 5th August 2023 (volvo ac). My experience was superb and it was a memorable journey and it was only possible due to our tour guide mr. Madan Rao and our skilled driver Mr Arul kumar. Especially Mr Madan who went extra mile in helping the passengers, he managed things very well and because of his superb management we were also able to visit Padmavati temple in the evening which we missed previously during my first visit in April with same TTDC one day tour package. Mr Madan also knew Hindi and English well so there was no problem in communication. Dear TTDC, kindly reward and recognise guides like Mr Madan and drivers like Mr Arul who are doing their job so professionally and making sure the pilgrims are facing no difficulties in the tour.

I travelled to Tirupati on the 25th Mar, 2023 by a Volvo bus chartered by TTDC. The bus was clean and travel comfortable. But everything else was bad. Firstly, we were asked to assemble at 4.30 am, but the bus started at 5.30 am only. The buses were parked without any order forcing us to run around to find the buses. Next was the quality of food given - breakfast & dinner at Tiruttani were OK, but lunch in Tirupati was sub-standard. The worst was at a tirumala where 2 cottages meant for 8 people were used it nearly 900 people on that day. No shoes stand, no luggage storage areas.. Just 2 bathrooms.. No place to sit forcing people to sit on pavement in hot sun. Choose TTDC only if you have no other option.

We went to Tirupati via TTDC Volvo on Oct 30th. While things started well, things went downhill thanks to the horrible guide Mr. Sundar. Firstly, he didn't properly guide us to the correct entry for Darshan & was expecting our group which had two senior citizens, one of them physically challenged, and a toddler, to walk around & keep pace with him. Since my mother couldn't walk & we were taking a taxi to the dharshan entry, he gave our tickets & asked us to find our own way. He also instructed us to not take the physically challenged queue as it might delay them and it was more important than our safety & well being. We finished darshan after an arduous 4 hours & returned to the cottage only to find the awesome Mr. Sundar has already left us. The rude incharge at the cottage was even worse, asking "Where were you roaming around", in a crass manner. After scolding Mr. Sundar on phone, he arranged for another bus to pick us up. To my surprise, I found that most devotees were delayed & Mr. Sundar's bus is one of the few that actually left. Rest were waiting for the passengers you know, because that's what a guide is supposed to do. Mr. Sundar was trying to have us come on that bus itself till Chennai but the other guide Mr. Ashok & his driver weren't having it, scolded Mr. Sundar for heartlessly stranding our group, and got us into our original bus in Tiruchanur. Mr. Sundar didn't even have the basic courtesy to apologize & was acting like he's doing us a favour. Overall, it was a terrible experience all because of our completely heartless & useless guide who not only ditched our group without considering the age or physical disability, not to mention he didn't even do his job of guiding us. To top it, the arrogance as though he's doing us a favour. Never ever booking via TTDC as long as they employ horrible people like Mr. Sundar.

Took the Tirupati 1 day trip from chennai. The trip is worth the money considering how hard it's to get a ticket personally. Special mention to guide Mr.Parthiban who took good care and guided through the entire trip. The food offered during the trip is good as well. The lunch could be out of time and depends on rush at Tirupati. They try their best to meet timings but people who are on trip also need to cooperate and follow their schedule to allow them meet. After all its a group trip and everyone in it is responsible as well for meeting time schedule and not just the organizer. I was skeptical after booking but having done the trip it's a better way than having to take things in own hand atleast for this trip. The waiting area in Tirupati is just a 4 bedroom stay and cant hold the entire travelling lot so you would have to wait on the road till like people who have to complete tonsure and once again when everyone gets done with dharshan. If it's a sunny day this would be tiring but there are places nearby with tree shade and can be fine. If you are taking kids along, better carry food as we could be waiting long hours at Darshan queue. Have multiple alternatives like Biscuits, fruits as after a point buying from vendors in queue is not possible. Water and rest room wild be available in queue up until you enter temple premises.
