Tamanna's Home - Holiday home in Guwahati - Kamrup Metro, India

Heads up: This is going to be a long review so let's go! I had to take 24 of my diploma students from Sikkim to Guwahati for a campus placement drive. Not wanting to hotel it, I came across Tamanna's Homes with a 100 lovely reviews, each praising the beautiful, spacious and luxurious stay. After one phone call with the owner, the respected Dr Rafiquz who assured me to "just come and don't worry, you will love the place", in his own words - I immediately booked the place without any qualms. The location is quite nearby to the railway station, about Rs 250 by Uber. We were welcomed by the gracious hosts upon arrival. Mrs Rafiquz, a lovely lady showed us the entire place since we had booked all floors to fit all of us. I was floored by the luxurious house, there are no words to say except the whole house is made with a lot of love and care, keeping every basic amenities in mind such as scissors, toaster, microwave in the kitchen. The dining tables, wooden chairs and doors were fantastic so was the bed propped up against the wall but not pushed all the way so as to leave plenty of area for easier cleaning. Every little detail was thoughtful, right upto even a fan in the washroom! The ironing table fitted between the wall and closet was just the right height and I believe I ironed all my clothes more comfortably than at my own home. The whole place is lovely, it's a home away from home so much so that it begs a revisit to say the least. The owners are a friendly, amazing couple and Dr Rafiquz is an ever attentive host, helping us with queries from start to finish. My students enjoyed themselves when they were at the house, cooking delicacies with the market nearby at walking distance. And the rest of them ordered food online since the location is very close to everything else at Guwahati. Rajdhani Masjid area, the landmark nearby even had an aquarium store where I bought some fish supplies for my son back home. Tehzeeb, the restaurant is a must visit for some mouth watering kababs, rumali roti and dal tarka. All in all, our three days at Guwahati was a big hit solely because of our stay at Tamanna's Homes. We will definitely be repeating this activity next year after the successful placement of three of my students this year. If you are a large group, looking for an ideal place to stay in Guwahati, look no further. This is the place for you, hands down. The entire top floor fit maximum of the students comfortably, all of them enjoyed the AC rooms which were large, spacious and clean. The kitchen has every amenity you require, from a fridge to stove and all necessary cooking utensils (mind you, they are the old precious ones with heavy bottoms and where food doesn't stick to, thank you Mrs Rafiquz!) and also water filters. Even if you are a smaller group from 4 people onwards, the downstairs new apartment can house your family with ease. I had a lovely stay at Tamanna's Homes and am planning a revisit soon. Do book your stay in advance since the place seems to be very popular and you might miss out if you don't book in advance. Okay..so first let me take a moment to apologise for being so late in writing up this review BUT the wise say that it's better late than never. And this review is going to be a long one so kindly bear with me. So, I got married last year in December 2022 and it's a two states story. Groom's from Delhi (Sardaar family so you can imagine the hype) and me from, ofcourse, Guwahati. The main wedding was in Delhi and we were having another reception in Guwahati in January, 2023. Now I have always known that it's next to impossible to find a place where my in-laws can feel at home away from home. We definitely didn't want a hotel and the guesthouse or apartment culture was not thaaaaat convincing to me as I myself work for a travel company and hence I do have an eye for these things. After a million research, I couldn't find anything until my elder sister (whose words I can never buy, let alone she suggesting a place) shared the link of Tamanna's Home. I would lie if I say I checked immediately and the truth is I straightaway ignored! Then what? She ended up sharing again and again until I finally checked as it was getting intolerable and the pictures looked very appealing on the internet. Now me, as someone from the travelling background, won't buy what I see online until I exhaust my research bits or I check the place in person and that's what I did AND it looked even better in real than the pictures. To add, we met the most loving and positive couple as hosts! The whole booking was not treated as just a booking. It was treated as a wedding that belonged to them as well They took such great care of my in-laws I can't even tell how! My extended family was welcomed with such warmth by Uncle & Aunty. It's just the small things that made the stay so homely and special. The kids were playing around the apartment, my in-laws having conversations with my parents and friends, the evening sessions and what not! It was indeed a home away from home. Sometimes it's very easy to get a spacious place but what is rare is the warmth and the respect and the love from the hosts that we received! My in-laws were so happy with the way Uncle & Aunty made them feel special. They even attended my reception and the final day at Tamanna's was nothing less than leaving a home behind. Not to forget, the two ladies (house help) were also very helpful and lovely throughout by keeping my in-laws' needs in mind. From making tea to all that timely cleaning and then our small chit-chats have left so many memories. I would always recommend this place to anyone who asks me for a homestay in Guwahati. Even if they ask for a hotel, I would just persuade them to change it to a homestay at Tamanna's hahaha! And I truly hope to even meet their daughter, Tamanna someday. It is quite big place and we were 4 adults and 3 kids. For kids it was like playground they played, they run and enjoyed the property to the fullest. The host is very polite and good. And place contains a very good and functional kitchen. We also cooked and enjoyed dinner in evening. I highly recommend this place as it can accomodate larger groups and families.

Awesome property, very big rooms nicely maintained,neat and clean, Dr Rafique was very supportive and a super host, will visit again.

Tamana house is guest house. It is comfortable and shopping place are nearby. If you are going to stay for a few nights in Guwahati. This place is very good. Very very good.

One of the finest and spacious airbnb in town! The rooms and the entire layout of the hall, kitchen or washrooms are beautifully planned out. The entire apartment is best for night-outs with friends and for any birthday/pre-wedding celebrations. Can easily accommodate more than 12-15 people at once. Facilities include three super clean washrooms, three massive bedrooms, a dining space, a super useful kitchen space with everything you need, an extremely spacious hall, a workout area with some basic gymming equipments, two balconies. The location is easily accessible, and the neighbourhood also seems extremely calm and friendly. The host is super friendly and extremely welcoming and approachable.
