Our government hospitals are improving day by day.. Poodamkallu Taluk hospital have new building, new facilities and good treatment..

This hospital is the only public hospital available in the area and it is upgraded from PHC to Taluk hospital very recently, hence is still on the road to progress and expansion. Lab and scanning facilities are not to the fullest. No gynaecology department yet, hence the ladies have to depend on the hospitals in kanhangad which is 25 km away from Poodamkallu through swigs-swag roads. This hospital has a lot of potential but needs proper administration and facilities to grow further.
