Thane is known as the city of lakes. One of the most ancient and yet most lively lake is at Talao Pali. Located in central Thane, the lake is surrounded by seating areas all around and people of all ages use it often, especially during the morning and evening / night hours. On one side there are horse karts to entertain children. People also enjoy typical food items called "chat" available in various small food joints, they are very spicy and tasty and available at reasonable prices. Good ice cream varieties are enjoyable too. One finds many morning and evening walkers enjoying the lake while having walk rounds around it. Many couples and families also enjoy boating here. At the centre of lake they have excellent fountain too. Water is very clean. During a few festivals like Diwali, Hindu New Year etc., the lake is lighted and people also come with thousands of small lights to further enlighten the place. On such days, thousands of people come here wearing nice colorful outfits. The ambience can't be described in words, it needs to be experienced. I can say that Talao Pali lake is one of the highlights of Thane city.

New restaurant opened in Talav Pali is second branch of South Point pure veg and it is located opposite to the beautiful Talav Pali lake Restaurant is entirely new setup , sitting capacity of 8-10 people as of now. We tried four food items 1 - Rasam - Nice presentation , kind of 7/10 2. - Curd rice - Tasty - 8/10 3. Masala dosa - 7/10 4. Rava dosa -10/10 - best one I ever had We paid 450 around for all these items Also the sambhar and tomato chutney was amazing Sitting in restaurant may have a problem for next few days as it is still under setup , however quality of food and owner self engagement in service delivery is amazing

Nice place to go for leisure. A boating facility is available here. Only whenever it rains then it is closed. Strictly closed from 1.00 pm to 5.00 pm. You have to purchase a ticket for boating. In the evening you can go with your kids and family members at the bank.

It was very good place to hangout earlier but lately that place is not at all maintained. Everywhere trash is lying and no one is bothered. People are throwing used bags/ plates anywhere. Water is not clean. Lot of traffic all the time. Place is surrounded with traffic, people and lot of noise. Nearby hotel are also responsible for this unhygienic situation.

Best location in Thane for morning , evening walk , hang out with your loved one and family. Provides boating facility and horse cart riding. Surrounded with a variety of food stalls with mouth-watering dishes. Gadkari auditorium for drama. The swimming pool is adult and kids also. The shopping area is very close, Koupineshwar Mahadev temple and Ganpati Mandir are on the bank of the lake. This is the most popular and iconic place in Thane.

The famous Talav Pali at Thane is a wonderful place to go with your BAE. The street food here is lovely and it's been shifted to a new place now. Just opposite to the lake on the other side of the bridge. You can find all the chats there. Please try it. A khaugali is been set up here.
