Tala Kaveri - Pond in Tala Kaveri - Kodagu, India

This place place is situated at very high altitude. The drive to climb is smooth, there is only a couple of hair pin bends. And you literally don't have to walk more than 15-30 steps. The scene from this place is magical. Sometimes the fog comes in from the mountains which gives chills and looks as if in heaven. Don't expect a good lunch spot at that location. If you want a decent restaurant, you can go there which is around 2+km from talakaveri. Should be on list of Must-visit.

Spread across a vast area high up on the hills. The location itself makes the place worth visiting. Beautiful temple area inside. One side looks down on the hills and offers great views. Must visit as a tourist spot and also as a spiritual place. Plenty of parking outside. Location easily found on maps. Pay toilets there inside.

Talakaveri is the place that is generally considered to be the source of the river Kaveri. It is located by Brahmagiri hill near Bhagamandala in Kodagu district, Karnataka bordering Kasarkod district of Kerala.

One of the popular tourist/ spiritual spot Madikeri, Coorg, Karnataka. Best time to visit September to December. Especially in the evening time.
