Takla Pahar - Hiking area in Tezpur - Sonitpur, India

Visit Takla pahar during the month of November and December and witness the majestic view of the highest peak in Arunachal Pradesh known as "Kangto Peak".

Great place for walking and mountain biking. The path is steep and there's also a parking spot on the top. It is not recommended to visit during the rainy season as it gets really muddy

Ideal for morning walk... Evening most probably crowded.... Would be Lovely place for musician who do cover song on acoustic guitar I reckon that

A must visit location if you're around tezpur , one can enjoy the sunset here over the mighty Brahmaputra river . If you're planning to visit this place at noon then i'll give a big NO to your plan . You'll just get to see some large rocks and from there the Brahmaputra river and trust me it sounds good but in reality it doesn't look good . So my recommendation will be to visit this place at Sunrise or either at Sunset . And make sure to bring back your wastes down the hill and properly throw it on the dustbin . The place is already very much polluted and i hope you will not include yourself on it . Peace

Nice place but abit difficult to access and the roads aren't there you'll have to Trek. The trek to the spot isn't that good as there use to be many people on the side partying and all

If you're waiting for a short but extreme hike, then it's a place you should consider. A straight inclined pathway to the hill top, it's really tiring to walk there but also it gives you a whole top view of the Tezpur town. It's full of greenary and birds noise. Large boulders and a pleasant river flowing sideways which you can watch form the top of that hill. It's worth a hike !

Bike Walk Amazing place

Excellent place in Tezpur, you will get a panaromic view if weather is clear.It was great spending time in the nature! Hike was not too difficult and enjoyed the scenic views along the way. The sunset and the sunrise are just gorgeous.
