I'm not someone who likes to spend a lot of time outside. But in the early morning I visited Taki with my two friends and the sight was really fascinating.
I never went outside of India and for me seeing a different country was too exciting. From taki river bank i was able to see a part of Bangladesh and that really gave me a kick.
Don't know how others will react seeing such a sight, but for me it was a great thing.
Those who want to visit for only one day and do not want to spend a night at any hotel, I will suggest them reach there earliest of the morning. At that time you l not be able to ride the boats, but the place will be pretty empty and not so crowded. It will be truly peaceful.

Overall it's a decent place for a one day trip. There is a river which divides India and Bangladesh. And some old Jamindar Baris and some other spots and Mandir.
There are so many tourist spots in Taki. I have visited various kinds of place like Taki Eco park, Golpata forest, Taki Raj bari etc. Even the riverside place is also very amazing. One can easily spend a lot of time by sitting there on the couch and watching the spectacular view of the river with mesmerizing breeze. From the railway station, all the places are about 15 to 25 minutes distance. You can easily get a toto from there. All you need to just tell them the name of the place and they will take you there at a very reasonable rate. But it's better to bring your Aadhar card with your while travelling to talk you because this is a border town so the border security force may want to see your identity. Search better to bring your identity card with you while travelling. Otherwise you should be little bit careful about the total drivers because there are some of the drivers who are ready to take some extra if you don't know the proper rates.
But there is so many places in Taki to travel.
Caution: Its better not to take the senior citizen and your children to Taki Eco park, as some sights might be a problem for you. But otherwise Everything is ok
Nice place for one day trip, road conditions also too good for long drive, if any one want to see Bangladesh border from close then its the best place . You can also take a boat from here and can explore the surrounding.

Though rooms were clean, but it was bit small for a 4 bedded room, however, the view from the balcony is absolutely beautiful.
