Takdah Orchid Centre - Garden in Rangli Ranglot Tea Garden, Takdah - Darjeeling, India

It is located about a 1.5 hrs drive from the hill station Darjeeling, the Takdah Orchid Centre is a beautiful place for nature lovers. Though there are limited variety of orchids but still they look awesome... I wish there was more plant variety... Well maintained Neat and Clean You can buy orchid at cheap rate here... There's a small little stream flowing through the orchid centre , and there are a multitude of orchid plants (mostly cacti) for the visitors to see. But a major portion of the park is restricted as those areas are used for research purposes. Really good experience and it's one of the better places to visit from Darjeeling, and the entry fees is also very low. . . . . Thank you

beautiful spot in takdah . it was 20mins walk from our hotel in takdah. Do visit it during orchid season only because we missed it and didn't see much flowers . but still the whole vibe is amazing , dreamy. Kudos to the people who are maintaining it. It has a entry fee of 20rs and also coffee, tea, maggi is available at the gate.

The road to the orchid center is not that good. There is a small entry fee. The plants are displayed in different glass houses.. very pretty plants.. they sell few plants in the garden at the entrance based on availability..

Nice place with good access to road. Tourist can visit this place on the way to takdah. The place is huge and accommodate large tourist crowd. Best time to visit is during the flower shows and I'm flowering season. Maintenance wise they need to trim the lawn grass and also lots of bushes have covered the resting areas. Overall a nice and calm place to be.

Nice place. One should visit during the blooming season of the orchids otherwise it can be skipped.

A good collection of orchids can be found at this large park. A section of medicinal plants is also there . People can buy orchids at reasonable rate and spend sometime at this beautifully located park on the slope of hill. Entry ticket Rs 20/- per person.
