Mesmerizing beauty of mother nature. We did this trek during peak mansoon season and we were amazed by the beauty of nature. There lot of small water crossing are there. Few waterfalls at base and few during hiking up. Attraction of the trek is reverse waterfall where water falls in reverse direction due to heavy wind. Climbing till top take 3 to 4 hours but for sure you will enjoy the journey. There are no any monuments or historical structure at the top. The phadeshwar shiv temple is only which gives energy to complete the trek. You must visit this peak during monsoon. The enchanting splendor of Mother Nature was truly captivating. We embarked on this trek during the peak monsoon season and were utterly mesmerized by the natural beauty surrounding us. Throughout the journey, we encountered numerous small water crossings, some lovely waterfalls at the base, and even more during the hike upwards. One of the trek's most fascinating highlights was the reverse waterfall, where the water cascaded in the opposite direction due to the force of the heavy winds. Ascending to the summit required 3 to 4 hours of climbing, but the entire journey was immensely enjoyable. Although there were no historical monuments or structures at the top, we found solace and energy at the Phadeshwar Shiv Temple, which helped us complete the trek. If you get the chance, do not miss visiting this peak during the monsoon season; it promises an unforgettable experience amidst the wonders of nature.
Most unexplored trek near Mumbai, Very adventurous trail in between jungle, Best thing about this place is white arrow marking from base to top ( no chance to get lost) The view on the top from left to right is mesmerizing . -hardly any crowd -alteast hav group of 3 in this trek -pin the bike location parking (vey confusing.) -advisable to visit on weekends only ,coz in normal week days you'll find no one in whole trek. -3 hours of climbing,2.5 hours of descending for regular treker, (medium leve grade) -search for kushivli village instead of tahuli peak on googleMap. For exact base start point. Enjoy.....
medium difficulty trek. However, during any wet period, it is difficult because the steep slopes are very slippery. The view from the top would be scenic. DO NOT go in groups smaller than 5. I've been here thrice alone, and saw an ADULT LEOPARD here. They wander on the trail, which would make your encounter very likely. Be safe. Visit in a large group, with weapons of some sort.
Amazing place. Very close to Mumbai. It is a long trek and tests your endurance! But worth the effort. You will find a lot of waterfalls and streams on the way. Perfect place to trek in Monsoon. Arrows are clearly marked , Route to Dadi ma ,Tahuli and water fall would be confusing. If you are a beginner when it comes to trekking, would advise going with a guide.
Tahuli peak trail is divine in monsoon! It starts with a 2-3KM walk through fields, followed by a steep ascent through dense forest, followed by a beautiful ridge and gentle climb to the peak. On the way there are multiple streams and waterfalls, including a reverse waterfall. Highly recommend the short detour to the reverse waterfall. The trail is overall 8KM one way and can take from 7-10hours overall if you intend to stop at the falls and spend time at the peak. Carry food and water.
Best time to visit is monsoon. One day trek that gives you experience of wilderness, waterfalls, lush green jungle and scenic beauty. One has to carry own food and water. There are few houses on top but they dont provide any food.
It's a beautiful but long trek (appx 7-8km one way). Don't start with this one if it's your first trek. Take ample of water bottles. Recommend not to visit during monsoon as the trek has slippery rocks and trails.
Its a moderate to tough level trek depending when you are going. Choose a clear day else you will miss the splendid views from above. 4 hours one way. Lots of waterfalls to cool down.
