An amazing hub in Chandigarh for various co-curricular activities, dramas, theatre, plays etc. Beautiful Theatre equipped with all amenities. Very nice ambience. Ample parking space on campus. Overall a really nice place.
Nice auditorium, though seats are bit cramped. It is one of the oldest and landmark places of chandigarh. Went there for Amit Tandon's standup show and it was great.
It was a superb show put up by Akash Gupta at the Tagore Theatre. The show started a bit late though and the time was used by the local filler artist but as soon as Akash Gupta came he really turned the tables and it was all laughter from then on. A complete laughter riot , Bumper of a show, totally new jokes, relevant material (script). Overall a healthy show very awesome highly recommended. Talking of the theatre as a place- it was easy on the route, very neat and tidy, well managed, the ticketing and seating arrangement, lighting, balcony, parking etc.. had a really great time being at the tagore theatre .
Location is in the heart of City Beautiful. Size of stage is spacious enough. Entry and exit doors easy to find. Parking space is limited. Theatre hall is good but ceiling needs instant repairs. Washrooms were clean but stinky. The best place for plays or other theatrical performances. In my opinion, the best aspect is that management doesn't allow anyone to use this platform other than theatrical shows.
A Huge theatre or you can say hall for events or annual functions which are held by schools and other institutions. We also had an event there yesterday. And the event was incredible. Features: 1) Loudspeakers for clear bass and noise. 2) Lightings were also magnificent and furnishes full potential in performances. 3) Other infrastructures like- Seats, Stages, and Walls are also remarkably satisfying and nice. ( Overall the experience is outstanding there )
We curate one of the finest Film Festivals of the world at the Tagore Theatre every year in February. It is a good place, centrally located, accessable and having good space and infrastructure in the capital city of Chandigarh. We are thankful to the Chandigarh Administration and the Department of Culture affairs for supporting our festival each year, and bringing forth a lot of interesting events throughout the year for the region at large and the people through the Tagore Theatre.
