Mountains, sky, books and wonderful tea. If you are these, this is your heaven. If you want to be a part of the mountain people, you will love this home. Simple delicious local food, long and knowledgeable discussions on mountain flora, fauna and geography, you will get it all. Will come back.
I found everything good and our family stayed here for 2 days. We had a great time in one flat of 6 people capacity. The view was stunningly beautiful with hills of Nepal, mountains and sunsets and cold breeze
The homestay was very nice and clean. We have stayed there for one day only but their behaviour was awesome like family. And the food quality was also good. After all I have rated 5 star to swastika homestay.
Actually i liked everything about this place Intenational youth hostel and Swastika homestay. Starting from the hostel which was very beautiful and clean, the owner, staffs were so kind and their hospitality was amazing. The food they made was very delicious and homely. We booked a cab with the help of the owner and the cab driver was also an amazing personality. They made our tour so memorable and easy for us. I will recommend everyone to come her once and enjoy the beauty of Kurseong from this place.
We stayed at Swastika's Homestay for a night. It is located opposite to HDFC bank near Kurseong station. Swastika di and her husband are fantastic hosts. The rooms are very cozy and the cleanliness is very well maintained. The foods are awesome too. Looking forward to visiting next time.
I have enjoyed here. This is not my 1st time in Kurseong but this time it was special. The host made a walking trip for me to St. Mary's hill. In the evening hours I liesurely sat to watch the sunset which is very captivating and the hills of Nepal on the other side is orange sky. The mountain view is mind blowing. Enjoy everyone. A good place to stop... Everything is good here!! Pls do visit
I am a retired educationist and was looking to explore the hotels, motels, homestay, hostel etc. The hosts of Swastika Homestay and International Youth Hostel are highly recommended by the town people as well for their generosity and humbleness. I was brought here by a restaurant owner where I had stopped for lunch in Kurseonng bazar and was looking for some friendly homely stay and looking to make new friends. I met a hostel partner in the guest room. She was an American. There were few others in next room as well. All the hostellers in the guest room had a get-together that night and I joined them too. I danced liked my 20s in my 60s. I laughed like 40s with the faces of 30s. The homestay guests also joined us later and were in Upper and ground floor. The host were too young to be called sister and brother and we called each other by names as I requested them to call me by name. I was residing in the homestay as a hosteller candidate. This is my solo trip and I am from Gangtok. I am exploring places across remote Sikkim, North Bengal and Dooars and looked for an affordable housing benefit with a family whose hospitality rating is 5/5. International Youth Hostel s a type of wing within the Swastika homestay where solo, budget constraints, lonesome people looking forward for community stay can come together. I stayed for 2 days and departing form here was like as if knowing the whole lot of people since long. Some had booked for 2 days, some 22, some 45 days.....You will feel young here and will flash your eyes with the good memories of past as well. Stop here for u will feel the best part of your life's journey.Meet people who loves to keep you in their company for 24 hours... I am still travelling towards Bhutan and will never forget the warmth and care in their family !!
An excellent destination for one day hiking, camping, bird watching as well as just for relaxation. Overall an outstanding destination for people who wants to explore nature, enjoy slow living, and get the real taste of the place. The food from confectionary and local market is a must.
