SWAPNAVEL RESORT( Swapnavel Point ) - Resort hotel in Chandgad, Kitvade - Kolhapur, India

Almost 3 hours from Sawantwadi. Would be bit near from Belagavi (Belgaum). So basically its a private property which is converted into a valley view point for tourism with entry fee of Rs20 pp. Timing from 9am to 6pm. No food options to eat except their owned costly hotel. We saw people getting their own food/tiffins and having lunches. The last 10km patch leading to the actual swapnavel view point is in midst of woods, damaged, rough and full of deep potholes and dangerous. It will test the driving skills of the driver. Not recommended to drive in late evening. On the way prior to actual point, there is a first spot called sainik point which is also equally scenic and gives good view of the ascended ramghat. People usually mistaken it for the swapnavel point. Overall The journey towards destination is equally beautiful and scenic with many small waterfalls and view points on the way.

This so called Resort (appropriate word would be "Khandar") is the most pathetic place we ever visited, the road to this place could be rated as the WORST & most UNSAFE in the entire world, & this is not an exaggeration. We had been for a days outing & my sister in law broke her hand, thanks to the the careless & unsafe way this place is kept, the accident happened as soon as we reached this place, so couldnt take any photos to show how pathetic this place is, one would get a depression just at the sight of the condition of this shady place. Most unsafe place for Family....

Accessible only to high GC cars. Great views around if visiting during monsoon. Lot of potholes on the road, narrow and water logging. The great grasslands, valley and scenic too. The resort has basic stay options, food. The Swapnvel viewpoint can be visited only through the resort premises.

Best hill station in affordable price with thick forest and water falls

Superb Location - Resort situated at such a point that we are getting superb view of Vally. Small water flow is crossing the Resort area and falling directly in valley which will be seen from one side. On this water passing only bridge is made. We haven't tasted food here but you have to pay 20/- Rs per person as entry fees. In rainy season must visit place to see Nature Beauty at its best.

If you have a vehicle with good ground clearance, a strong stomach and bladder and want to experience some mild off roading, go here. I was unlucky as there was complete fog and zero view. However, if you are lucky you will be treated to a spectacular view of the valley. I just got a glimpse. 20/- for entry per person. As you come from Belgaum and leave the tarred roads, there will be no petrol pump or restaurant. Pack food and better to eat once you hit the paved road again. Some 10 odd km is really bad - but a nice experience if you have a good vehicle and don't mind the journey.

Woww experience.. just amazing.. drive through jungle.. tough for lower ground clearance vehicle but still nailed it till the resort... the view was amazing.. always covered in fog.. frequent view of long long valley, hills, small small waterfalls.. occasional rain showers.. seating arrangement for couples, family and friends. This was second time we visited, first experience was ens of august i think but this time its end of july.. recommended for everyone

The place is good only for the view after paying Rs20. There is no cleanliness maintained at the resto and washrooms. It's disgusting. Also the service is poor. We waited for tea for around 15mins and finally left as we were getting late.
