The place have very good ambience, the staffs were also polite but the food wasn't worth the price. Service is extremely poor, since the staffs were unable to cater for a table of 3. Being a very large wait time, the taste of food also got diluted that makes the food un-enjoyable, hence unable to comment on the quality. I wouldn't recommend this place as the cost and portion size of the food were unjustified.
Honestly guys, be it the ambience or food or the polite service, everything was top notch I highly recommend for dinner A very calm quiet place to relax and have good food. And also, can take great pictures
Variety of unique and taste lingering dishes were provided. A special mention about murungai ellai soup, saiva meen kozhambu, thakali Adai with Lotus roots and seeds. Brocolli starter did touch our hearts Guna who looked into our services, explained clearly each item that he brought made us relish the dish. Jasmine icecream was good with edible flowers.
Love the uniqueness of this place & the food has a bit of a twist. Like karupetti kulfi which was awesome. Great location - near the beach too. Food was Beautifully displayed & Delicious in taste There was a slight mistake in the food order that they took but when we pointed it out, it was corrected.
Svasa promotes itself as an upscale restaurant and the prices certainly do reflect that. The food was pretty okay. We ordered mock mutton and a gravy. Both were very spicy. I could barely grasp the taste. The breads were a bit better than the food that we ordered. The ambience was good and the music was soothing. However, for a restaurant marketing itself as upscale need to have cleaner table cloths and a clean bathroom which SVASA did not have. I appreciate the staff for they were very hospitable and polite.
This was our second visit. We love this attempt at degustation of Indian cuisine. The space has to be reached via the bar which is one not so cool part. The restaurant itself is a bit small inside, but large glass windows overlooking the busy road give some respite. The food is a delectable mix. They have their starters, soups and desserts pat on. The main course alone is still a tad clunky which takes one away from a wholly delicate experience. We had panchamritha pillow a delicious pop in the mouth burst of flavours followed by a mildly spicy murngai keerai soup with a twist. We had sepankazhangu roast and pookose porichadhu as starters. The narathangai sorbet served as a palate refresher for me. Our main course was adai aviyal and mapillai samba rice. We also had naan with gravy and a mock chicken kori gassi with steamed rice. The main course was sumptuous and rather like a regular meal except for the mapillai samba accompaniment. Curd rice caught all our fancy with a karuvepillai froth hiding the delicious vetha kuzhambu & curd rice beneath it. Desserts were a delight with pal poli & rabdi + buckwheat guava and some quirky kulfi. The service got a tad slow towards the end. Also the main course for the set menu folks and ala carte orders were out of sync making one lot of us wait for the others. On the whole a nice experience with young adults. My nephews loved the place. Little harder for toddlers & small kids to figure it out and enjoy given they dont have a mature palate
SVASA is an Artisanal Gourmet Vegetarian fine dining restaurant serving traditional cuisine with contemporary twist. Karuveppilai Idly: Powdered Curry Leaves Fried Rice Cake with Chutney filling in the center. Tasted good with mild curry leaves flavour. Oath To Plantain Tree: Creamy Plantain Pith Soup with Banana Flower Tempura and Plantain Crisp. Tasted very rich and gave a good mouth feel. Pookose Malli Porichathu: Cilantro Marinated Broccoli Fried with Chammanthi and Indian Raw Mango Marmalade. Cooked to perfection and it was soft like Cauliflower. Pomegranate And Galangal Sorbet: Frozen Dessert Made with Pomegranate and Galangal. Tasted extremely refreshing with perfect balance of flavours. Thakali Adai With Lotus Root Galawati: Tomato Flavoured Pan Cake with Lotus Root Galawati, Aviyal and Poppy Seeds Pumpkin Puree. Multiple flavours complemented each other. Dadyonam: Traditional Curd Rice with Shallots, Dried Buttermilk and Salt Dried Chilli with a Contemporary Twist. Perfect balance of multiple flavours. Pal Poli With Rabdi And Hot Almond Cream: Infamous Traditional Tamil Dessert with Pinenut Rabdi and Pistachio Paste. Rabdi was extremely rich, It's a Must Try. Overall, It was an amazing experience with awesome food. Pal Poli With Rabdi And Hot Almond Cream is a Must Try Dish.
we traveled far and wide to come to Svasa for a birthday celebration..... the place is well appointed, i guess, a bit too over the top for me though. but i figured, good food will circumvent that for me. we were in for a disappointment. we come to the food later.... the place was seriously understaffed.... looked like everyone was on leave except this tall lady who was waiting at the three occupied tables.... Nandini, i think her name is.... who bravely kept us looked after. lets start with the menu. for a place that has a difficult to understand fusion mix, the menu needs to be simple and easy to read. what we get is the shiny black wedding card with equally shiny text that is impossible to read. all six of us played a game .... how best can one tilt the menu to make it legible? the soups we started with were good. the one with plantain pith one was delicious, nice presentation too, pouring it at the table. The mock mutton meatballs were ok if one is not a non-vegetarian. the paneer in mantharai leaf tasted like a flat bengali fish with lots of mustard.... and way too much paneer! The lotus root galwati masquerading as the galoti kabab wanted me to run to Lucknow for the real thing! the momos were in a green chutney mess! i guess the only things on the table that we found good were the two portions of Awadhi Mussallam.... the kid at the table screamed "this is not chicken, its brocolli hiding in there!" which was funny, but it was tasty nonetheless! the zafrani pulao was impeccable as well. so these two and the plantain soup saved the evening for us. the kulfi and mousse were passable. allinall, a disappointment, also because the food came to us in bits and pieces. half the table finished their meal before the other half got theirs. and one cant blame an understaffed chef or a hardworking waitress for this! infact, Nandini was the lone bright spark for us! the is fusion food with the right intentions, but it doesn't go far here at Svasa. The heartwarming stories of the place and the partners that run it had raised our expectations which were not met, sadly. (this is a combined review from all at the table....)Ps.: this is surely not a kid friendly menu.

KDS Home Food has been my go-to destination for healthy and hygienic food. Kavitha mam has been very friendly and all it takes is a WhatsApp message (about 2-3 hours ahead) to get fresh home food to our doorsteps. Pricing is reasonable as well. They
