SVAH Besant Nagar - Vegetarian restaurant in Chennai - Chennai, India

We went in evening to adyar. And by chance entered Svah. The ambience was soothing so we stayed. We ordered a watermelon juice and pistachio pasta. That pasta was green in color and tasted just okayish. One can go there for the ambience. We also had to wait for table and adjusted as 3 for a corner table. Service is slow.

A mediocre taste veg restaurant with nice ambience. I visited this over hyped place after a long time. The service and ambience was very good, with fine music and lighting in the background. Order consisted of: 1) laksa soup - was thick and average 2) mac and cheese croquette - very bland 3) falafel - best of all the dishes 4) paneer pepper fry - okish 5) chilly lotus stem - average 6) gnocci - cheesy and good 7) black moctail - blueberry syrup in7up

The ambience of this place is really good. Only during winter time in Chennai can we enjoy the outdoor seating!! They do have tables inside some secluded tower types. The portion size of the various dishes we ordered were really small, it can be enough for one person or max 2. Of course this place is pricey. We loved the authentic taste and the totally relaxed way of serving !! The stewards were really cordial and efficient!! Took good care of us. The pumpkin soup was amazing. The desserts were good too.

Fantastic ambience - loved the set up. Good service too. Good spread of the buffet. Food few items were good but not everything was good. The live music band was phenomenal One major area for improvement is they need to avoid flies - although not much - it was not a good feel to see few of them need the food area.

I had been here with friends. The service was a little pathetic. We were the only people in house, but still they took a lot of time to serve. The food tastes ok for the price. We ordered from multiple cuisines. I would recommend the ravioli pasta with pesto sauce, it was yummy.

Ambled into Svah. From the entrance to the restaurant prepare to be pleasantly surprised. The theme is south East Asian with water bodies and welcoming staff. We tried the Kothu Parotta, the pasta and fries rice. They were served in time and at the appropriate temperature. The taste was very good. The only disappointment was with the wrap - it just wasn't there but I won't hold it against the restaurant. The restaurant also has an exclusive Indian restaurant and a resto bar. There's lots of parking and the staff are simply amazing.

Svah means Svahaha for your money Authentic traditional dishes made with typical "READMADE PACKS" ( food was not authentic though since it was prepared using readymade packs) Not worth a penny. Had Thai green curry with rice and soup. It tasted so so Artificial with no flavours and absolutely no taste. Just green coloured, water consistency with couple of vegetables floating around on the Thai green curry. It's completely waste of money and not worthy to try even for Ambiance. Tried their White Coconut Panacota which I felt like it was an old stock.

One of the most disappointing experiences I've ever had with a restaurant was undoubtedly the worst customer service I've encountered. It started with a disinterested hostess who barely acknowledged my presence, and things only went downhill from there. The worst customer service experience I ever encountered was not just due to the indifferent staff but a manager who actively supported their incompetence. The manager's behavior was astonishingly unprofessional as he not only ignored our concerns but also seemed to encourage his staff's lackluster performance. When we voiced our dissatisfaction with the service, the manager defended his team, completely dismissing our grievances. It was evident that staff members were well aware of their manager's support, leading to a culture of indifference and complacency in the restaurant. Went to celebrate my mom's birthday over there but these ppl had different plans only . So as we reached there by 9:40PM , the staff was like u ppl have 15mins to order the dishes after that we are closed (rudely) we ignored it for first time. Then next we were waiting for 15mins to order food no staff arrived, no one was there to guide/suggest the dishes . Very gently my mom decided to talk to the staff over there for proper customer service but the staff again misbehaved with us . ( blabbered in Tamil which meant - die won't be serving properly) Very disappointing, suggest not to visit.
