Songir is a largest town in dhule taluka, situated on NH3.it is 15 km away from dhule city. History :- Since 1370 this fort was in control of farqui sultans. Later it passed in the hands of mughals, Marathas and finally in 1818 the british took control of fort. This fort played significant role in guarding the trade route of burhanpur to surat.

Do visit making of copper utensils in village, and don't forget to try Shev Bhaji at Songir Phata, famous in entire khandesh. Camping can be done with proper permission from forest department.
