The location of the property and approach road is very good. We stayed in coco suite, room has good view of lake but no amenities provided, e.g. there is no phone to even call for room service, no proper bathing kit provided.Rooms need renovation as bathroom is pretty bad with water leaking throughout .. almost all charging points were broken in room.. for 6k you got to expect all these to be fixed I have personally informed Sorab sir the same. Breakfast is simple and good. Property is very good, no play area for kids and you need to have own vehicle for better convenience Checkout time is 9am, I booked through agoda where it was mentioned as 12pm. Though they provided grace time, just make sure you plan accordingly.

Stayed at Surya Holiday homes for 3 nights and 2 days. Situated on a hill top the property and rooms have scenic view. Room interiors have wood panelling and was clean and maintained well. Food was little expensive but good with homely feel. Also, this is a pet friendly place with additional cost.

Awesome place to rejuvenate your energy, place away from the concrete world but still within reach of Kodaikanal town. Full of nature, beautiful views from the room balcony itself, picturesque approach road, with piping hot food served by customer friendly staff. Thanks to the friendly owner Sohrab Sir for hosting us and giving proper guidance to make our trip a splendid one.

Wonderful place to stay, very friendly owners who are very accomodative to your requests, delicious home made food all of it attracts you to go back to the same place again and again. The property is just 2 km to lake uphill but binds you to nature. It was a good jungle retreat.

One of the best place to stay... Owner was cool, he explained me very well about the area. We had approached him for suggestions and all. He was very helpful. 1) we have stayed at Surya holiday priderock location, queen's cottage . It was clean and having good space. 2) Breakfast was good . 3) View wise to the lake is slightly covered by trees now for Queen. However it was overall fine. Go for pinus, royal or cocus have a cool view to lake. 4) I have read reviews in google and was not sure... But I felt the owner was very polite and nice to us....If you throw stones on someone you will get stones back ...... If you give respect and polite nature, you will get back the same. Overall experience was good. special thanks to Sorab sir. Additional tip: May month is seasonal.. Price overall kodaikanal will be high.

In a nutshell this is an average hotel if you want to be away from the city center and have a personal car, but it's quiet overpriced. Far far away from the lake and city center (taxi service charges Rs200 for a one way journey to the citycenter). The acess route is pathetic unlevelled road thats not possible to walk or cycle to and fro from. Its quite cut off and in the middle of nowhere. The rooms are mediocre and very average does not justify the price at all. They are tiny have the most basic of amenities no running hot water and not all rooms have a decent view some just look out on a wall. Notthing to do at the resort as such. Guests can only enjoy the sight of the lake and surrounding areas with a telescope. Guest are also dependant upon the restaurant for food, water and other essentials as there are no restaurants or shops nearby atleast not in walking distance. And you guessed it everything has a surcharge. The food is way too overpriced it's very basic homemade food and there's no variety. You will have to form the staff in advance for food or go hungry.

Stayed in the wooden cabin for 2 days and loved this place. They charged us 5500 for the room and 400 for our puppy for a day. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The property has great scenic views and ample lawn space.

This place is very close to the lake and have the feel of staying close to nature. There cabins are decent , homemade food are available with limited menu but good food in affordable price.
