Surya Beach Cafe and Stay - Hotel in Gokarna - Uttara Kannada, India

We booked a room.from.where u will get Beach view... Super beautiful view...I loved the location. Wild waves of Arabian sea slashing on the shores and u can fill your hearts with the sunrise and sunset views from your room's balcony. Do u wish for more!! Plus there were two cats human friendly so, I'm giving 4.5 stars to this resort.

This was my FIRST SOLO ! I reached the place by morning 7:30am and I was too hungry. Even though the restaurant was not open, the caretakers made me maggi noodles since I was too hungry. The day I reached, I was the only customer in the beachfront building since it was Thursday, but the caretakers assured me not to be scared and made me aware of the cctv which is ON always and they even chose to sleep in the room next to my room. People rushed here from Friday :) Every-time i went outside, "Yashwanth"-the main caretaker, called me and checked where I was, where i am headed. I was at christoph's till 12-1am. So he called me and asked to come early if possible if not call him whenever I leave. They got me the transport whenever I needed like renting auto, renting bike for good prices. They helped me with shifting all the luggages. This is the best place, especially for GIRLS WHO ARE ON SOLO ! I might even go again. The best and friendly people ever.

I went with my 2 year kid and wife, and we loved it. When we reached, the Host lady was there standing next to the parking waiting for us, helped us with luggage and directions. The Staff helped with everything thing, food service, hot water/milk for kid, room cleaning etc. This is a beach facing cafe, and perfect place to watch the Sunset. Evenings were even beautiful with Music, drinks/juices and Sunset here. Food is amazing and almost everything we ordered was enough quantity for two people. Must try: A Chilly-paneer starter and Veg fried rice here. They have Guitar, games like carom and chess, A lot of books to read (if you are a book/music lover, you will love spending a day here). The Rooms are spacious, (No electronic items like TV, AC, Fridge etc in the room makes us feel much closure to Nature), you can hear the waves and bird's sound around. Overall: Location: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Staff: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Value for Money: 5/5 Overall My trip was perfect and I feel I made right choice staying here with my family. We had a great 3 days stay here.

The staff is very welcoming and respectful. Food is a must try in this cafe. Though there is a limited selection of starters, they are really delicious. A place I definitely recommend for a calm and relaxing evening on the beach.

This place offers you the peace that one is looking for. View is breath taking. Rooms are clean & spacious and very simple. Host & staff are very warm & hospitable. A pet friendly place with soulful people around you. We stayed 3 nights here and not once we left the property. Cafe food is more than average.

It's a really nice place to stay, rooms are clean and tidy, bathrooms are good too. No hot water available, but they give heating rod, which takes about 20 30 mins to heat the water up. Rooms are a bit pricey probably cause it's right in the center of the beach. The people and staff are nice and chill. Food is pretty okay, a little expensive for the quantity they give, but satisfactory. The cafe right outside and the view is amazing, cause it's right at the beach. Only con is they checked us in 1 hr late, and asked us to check out an hour earlier, so ended up rushing towards the end. The bike parking is at the back and is a 5 mins walk through a small gully and a field.

Depending on what you need the place is just awesome.... If you are looking to unwind near the beach this is the place to go. Rooms are super clean. Food is average. You will have to walk through fields about 100 metre to get to the place. Do not go here if you are looking parking space, luxury or other facilities..

An excellent experience truly with an amazing host and the welcoming by both of 'em. An incredible time spent, say it the evenings or the mornings. The guidance given was on spot and genuine for first time travellers. Would purely and solely recommend for a great stay and prosper. Good luck guys hope to see you next time !! Oh yeah & One more thing Food is Amazing Man !
