This has been a amazing place to stay with eco friendly and also building up the nearby village community, stayed with my daughter & wife and it's been a superb experience. Best thing is- -green & stay near to forest -awesome food -staff is courteous & even help you in early morning if you are leaving for kanha safari -swimming pool with fresh water -quiet and serene -ideal place to work from home with internet available -nearby river stream

Very beautiful home stay with a perfect blend of hospitality and the comfort of home. It provides very good experience of nature. Kids loved bathing in nearby river. Enjoyed delicious food in different outdoor settings. Staff was also very courteous. We were lucky that homestay owners were also there at that time , they planned our entire perfectly. Look forward to visit it again.

Amazing stay! True 5 star experience! Food was top class, staff extremely friendly and helpful! Room was big, clean and the shower was similar to a 5 star Spa Hotel in europe. It is a safe haven for relaxation within a crowded subcontinent. All in all amazing. 100% recommend and I'll be coming back

A perfect holiday destination to spend quality time with family and friends !! Surwahi Social Ecoestate Kanha is sprawling 9 acre property whose serene environment is accentuated by the carefully curated trails and beautiful landscaping that gives you the feel that you are in middle of forest away from the humdrum of city life. I was amazed at the kind of attention that has been given to ensure that the property is ecologically sustainable and comfortable at the same time. The caretaker was extremely hospitable and ensured that we had delicious ethnic food, timely pick-up and drops from airport and a memorable safari trip to Kanha. We had great fun time in various activities like volleyball, cricket, bonfire singing and dancing with friends. Children were also fully occupied with treasure hunt, Chandra taal (pool) and children activity play area. It was memorable experience and Surwahi Social Ecoestate has won over our hearts and wanting to visit the place again.

The initiative taken by Surwahi Social Ecostate Kanha is a sincere effort towards promoting sustainable tourism in The Jungle Book's inspiration Kanha national park. This facility is only 20 km from Khatia, provides shared room stays at reasonable prices and food that feels home-cooked. It's one of the best places to stay if you wish to explore the rural landscape and the forest's wilderness. Villagers are also very welcoming to the guests. I would recommend visiting the place at least once and taking a glimpse into the peaceful life in the village. You may also enjoy trying your hands at pottery or gardening.

Surwahi Social Ecostate Kanha is just the right choice to rejuvenate in the lap of nature and spend blissful time away from the four walls of your room. We visited this eco friendly resort in the month of December. Nestled in the midst of Kanha National Park, this property is the perfect getaway and provide an unique experience of staying in the middle of a jungle. All the rooms have a rustic feel to them and yet contains all the modern amenities. We got to interact with the local people as well and explored the surroundings without the hinderance of urban noises. Caretaker Narender took care of all our needs and treated us with lipsmacking delicious food, specially the local cuisines. We all engaged ourselves in various outdoor activities like playing volleyball, taking a dip in the nearby river, jeep safari in the national park etc. But for the kids, the highlight was the playarea of the resort where all the climbing structures/swings etc have been made out of sustainable material. They also loved playing in the small pool 'Chandrataal' as they call it. Carefree bonfire evenings are definitely the take aways of such relaxing trips. Overall an amazing experience and a much recommended resort to visit if you are planning to spend some quality time in the proximity of nature.

Ecological YES. Location is difficult to reach, man-made roads/trails. I think being ecological also means to keep it clean as is our mother nature. So premises should be kept a little tidy. Walking areas, exploring areas outside the actual building. Staff was polite. But they should be updated of local places and distances and some ideas about Kanha Tiger Reserve gates and things related to it. All travellers expect local guidance and value it very much.

We were here only for 2 days, but the hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Almost all the facilities provided were environmental friendly. With its near proximity to Kanha National Park, its serene, breath-taking location along with its unique architectural design gives you country vibes and is a great place for a getaway from daily hustle of life. Its relaxing and calming atmosphere as well as its authentic service was rejuvenating. It is undeniably a fantastic location for a vacation.
