Survaya ki Garhi (Archaeological Site) 10th century - Tourist attraction in Shivpuri - Shivpuri, India

It is a Heritage site. An ancient religious teaching centre . The site is very good but there is no facilities for food and other kind of things no security is available for the tourist that is very disappointing to me. Nearby village boys irritate much and misbehave .

It's a Fort with very old Stone Carved Temples inside. The stone carvings on the temple is very intricate and mesmerising. The whole campus takes you back in time. Very good landscaped area outside. It also houses a Monastery inside with a lovely courtyard. This is not a hill Fort hence the wall of the Fort is very well made and spread in a large area. This is very close to Shivpuri and Scindia Chatri. Worth a visit. No guides available here but the history of the Fort and Temples is mentioned on the name plate outside the main gate.

An average place as not so much to look for here. It's a very old fort built around in 12th century but currently half of the fort is in ruined state and not an extraordinary place where we don't get awestruck or amazed by art and grandeur. However stone work is marvellous in the fortress, by looking at the temples and surroundings It feels that it must had been a grand, very rich in art and secretive place in past. Visit only if you're around and have time to spare. Not a must go place.

It's an architectural marvel. Never miss it if you are traveling from shivpuri to Jhansi road. It's poetry in stone. What a beautiful spectacle of sculpture art of India. Great place.

Ages Old Architecture Preserved Well. Rarely You Find Such Old Age Shiva Temples In Northern India Coz Of Islamic Onslaught.

It's an amazing monument, was surprised to know many Shivpuri locals too don't know about it. With architecture dating back to 10th century. The place is well maintained, although there isn't a solid road to the place and one has to go through a thin village track. A pest control treatment to flush out the rats would be highly appreciated though.

This Fort Made with very old Stones Carved Temples inside. The stone carvings on the Lord Shiva temple is very intricate and mesmerising Whole campus takes you back in time. This is located very close to Shivpuri madhypradesh.

Remains of a hindu monastery. A decent archeological site, however, not much to see by the common masses as major part of the same is demolished/out of use. A site which would be better appreciated by someone having an interest in the field of archeology.
