This is a quite old Yatimkhana and is celebrating its 100th foundation yearcthis year i.e. 2018. It is in the service of the poor and downtrodden muslim boys. Those boys who do not have their parents or if income of the parents are too low for upbringing of a child then they are admitted here. The Yatimkhana is not only providing free education and deeni taalim but also providing free boarding and lodging. The facilities for the children are good and they enjoy stay and study here. The children are also taken outside on various occasions. The yatimkhana has quite large building for lodging ang studying. Children can always be seen playing or studying there. It also has a school attached to it which admits outside children too. The school gives the children of Yatimkhana an opportunity to mingle with outside society. There is a mosque inside the Yatimkhana in which the Namaz (Salat) is offered by the members and children and other muslim men. Here timing of jamat of namaz is later than other maszids like the juma namaz is performed here at 2.00 pm. If one has failed to perform namaz with jamat in any maszid the he should approach this maszid fast and inshaallah he will get namaz with jamat here. This yatimkhana has an asset that is a quite large field beside TriStar Hospital which is mostly used for marriage purposes and other events by all the communities. Appreciable job being done by the Surat Islamic Yatimkhana Society.

sbHn llWh w bHmdh sbHn llWh l`Zym , The Surat Islam Yateemkhana Society in its own entity is one of the oldest and foremost institutions of the state of Gujarat as well as one of the most important institutions in INDIA. The orphans and helpless students from all over India are educated here with full cooperation by the Society. All types of facilities like lodging, food, dress, laundry, stationery, school fees and others are also provided here. Good Islamic studies are also provided here. It runs well only on the contributions of the well wishers. The Institution is situated in the heart of the Surat City near the Athwa Gate. There is also a beautiful Mosque here in the campus of the institution. I had been here when Janab Abdus Salam Sb was the President and Janab Imtiyaz Sb was the Secretary and Rana Sb was the Office Supdnt of the Institution. Alhamdulillah thanks to all.
