Super OYO Townhouse OAK Kzar Corporate Hotel Near St. Thomas's Church - Hotel in Kolkata - Kolkata, India

I booked a couple's room for approximately $16 per night through Agoda. After seeing the photos and reviews, I thought it would be a great deal. However, upon reaching the hotel, I had a different experience. The room was clean and satisfactory, but there were no room amenities provided, including no toothbrush, toothpaste, tea, coffee, or breakfast. Surprisingly, there was no room tissue either. I requested a tissue box multiple times, and on the second day, they only provided 4-5 pieces of tissue!!?? In a YouTube video, I heard the manager saying, "The two things we provide that set us apart are love and service." This did not seem to reflect the actual experience I had. On the second day, they even failed to provide a doormat in front of the toilet, which was quite unexpected. Moreover, they didn't offer any water until I specifically asked for it. I will never forget those 4-5 pieces of tissues - it's quite a memorable service, to say the least. Ha ha ha. What a service, what a love.

We had booked two rooms and had also done the full payment for 3 days. Upon reaching, they ask us to wait for approximately 2.5 hours saying that were no vacant rooms available. Before making us wait, we had confirmed about the booking. After waiting for 2.5 hours when we ask them about the room availability, they say that there's no valid booking by the name. We even showed them the payment proof and booking ID but it was of no use. Even the staff present there was so rude and the customer service was pathetic. Also, I had seen many reviews like that but I thought to go with the good ones. There were around 4 more people waiting along with us who were told the same thing. All the good reviews are probably paid. Don't trust this fraud hotel. There are plenty of better options available, please go for them. Pathetic customer service, pathetic location.

I had a confirmed booking for Nov 5-6. I was very skepti at first because from the reviews its clear they cancel their booking without any notice. I called everyday from 3rd Nov to just be sure that my room is confirmed. Every time they would ask for my name and booking id and confirm my stay. But 10 minutes before my check in, my booking was cancelled and I was stranded on the streets. They are so unprofessionaland clearly habe no idea about hospitality and customer management. It would have easy just to mention that they are not accepting my booking. I would have booked another hotel and be sorted. Please think twice before you plan to book here. Chances of you landing on the streets are higher than landing on the hotel post booking

"Excellent hotel. Great service The room was very spacious, clean, and had the amenities . The people in the reception were very helpful, not just on checkin and checkout, but also in giving directions to spots. The location is great-And Hotel manager behavior is very good and the manager is very helpful

Rooms are good , but food are worst quality as per price range , price are too high but taste and texture are worst... Located beside of graveyard.... Dont recommended...

Had a very pleasant 3 nights stay. The rooms are very spacious and good. Staff is very courteous and helpful. Kettle is provided , it would be useful if provisions for tea/coffee and more complete toiletry supplies are also provided. Better breakfast options also would be a welcome addition

I booked a room in this townhouse on 6th July through Oyo app where I had opted for "Book on the app and pay the Hotel" for 2 days, from 9th to 11th July. I called the receptionist as well to confirm my booking on the same date and they said yea the room has been booked they have confirmed my booking. I took train to Kolkata [I'm not from kolkata btw] on 9th morning and was about to reach Kolkata at 12.40pm but before that I get a call from the Oyo around 12 that the hotel has cancelled my booking and they didn't mention any kind of reason. Why you guys have to confirm the booking if you have to cancel the booking at the last moment? I pre booked it bec I wanted to rest well after 6-7 hours train journey but bec of cancellation, I had to spent hours looking for a hotel to rest. My whole journey got messed bec of your cancellation, and I had to spent 1-2k extra on hotels and taxis. Thanks to you and your team. Do remove your hotel from the Oyo if you are so greedy about the money. Atleast people don't have to suffer bec of you. I would suggest people not to book this hotel at all even though they have the best amenities. Also I forgot to mention, I was the only girl who was travelling to different city and that too solo so getting hotel is a difficult task for us and God forbid if my train was night and this would have happened to me in such time, I would have really broke down at that moment.
