Sunsets and Palm Trees - Hotel in Champakulam, Kuttanad Taluk - Alappuzha, India

We had great time at the property! The rooms are very beautiful and truly make you feel one with nature. Meals are served at a cute hutmemt which is just by the river. The best part of the property is the river. One can rent a couple of kayaks and just explore around! We had a great time diving into the water too. David served great food - chicken, fish and veggies cooked in Kerala style. The place is a must visit!

Located in a beautiful location on the outskirts of Alleppey. The hotel rooms are little huts decorated tastefully. Very clean rooms with working air conditioning and running hot water. The meals are prepared to your liking and the ingredients are all fresh. David and his team were amazing and very helpful.

It was such a great stay! The views are stunning! It is a great location to experience the backwaters! The rooms are clean and very nicely decorated! Both David and Sunish were very helpful to accommodate our wishes.

We have spent the weekend with my husband at Sunsets and palm trees. I would like to thank David for his very warm welcome and great service that himself and his team has provided. This place is an oasis and peace and greeneries. The rooms are surrounded by lush and backwaters. The only perks is that it is quite far away from any bars and restaurants (you have to go to central Alleppey) but they provide food for every meal. If you are looking for a city's getaway that's the perfect place to stay. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, clean and I insist very well decorated, which is something that I appreciate a lot.

We were a little apprehensive while going to this place as it's a little off beat and there is always a doubt whether it will turn out as good as it is in the pictures. I can only say one word that this place is mesmerizing. The entrance is a little rustic with sand and all so you may feel disappointed but once you enter the place there is no looking back. It's lush green with plants around and near to the Pampa River. The rooms are neat and clean and spacious for a couple. The pool is small but it's superb.. like amidst nature and greenery. There are only three villas as of now in the property so it's nice peaceful and serene. We had the best two days here and it's an unforgettable experience. The aesthetics are just superb, be it the sun bathing chairs, the open bathroom or the nice seating area outside the villa.. it's too good Certain things to take care 1. It's a home stay kind of thing so pls don't expect room service at your convenience. 2. Food is cooked only as per requirement so can't get anything extra as snacks and all.. they do try to give but it's very limited so better to carry. The breakfast and dinner can be discussed with the host and planned 3. If you don't like nature and are used to five star level treatment I would suggest you to not go here. Last but not the least, the host David has been really kind and sweet to help us with all the things. He went out of the way to help us with the cab and all. A MUST MUST VISIT.

The worst experience ever - the plunge pool was filthy, the rooms were dusty and the furniture was rusty. The place was full of mosquitoes even in the middle of the day. As soon as we entered the room, we started sneezing. Even a flu vaccine wouldn't have helped protect us from the contaminated water and unhygienic atmosphere. We didn't even stay there for 10 minutes and immediately vacated the place, considering the safety of our children. Please don't go there if you don't want to be cheated.

*(SCAM ALERT )* Everything ! The place is horrendous and disgusting... I'm surprised they even have a business. . Mouldy musty smell. Everything felt damp and as if the rooms hadn't been aired out in years, just a white coat of paint to cover the mould. And the plunge pool is filled with dirty water. They have not even cleaned the pool even after charging the whole amount from us. We left the place immediately after seeing this disgusting place and the so called owner is not at all bothered by this. Never get fooled by the google pictures. He will charge the whole amount during the booking time and you will never get refund. **(NOTREFUNDABLE)**
