I've been in that place on 2006. Today, 17 years later, I remember the feeling so clearly. Serene. Calm. Travelling to India is a tricky thing for many people. Personally I came facing all my 'demons'. India is doing that to you -delivering life lessons. But here, at the sunset point of Pushkar, every thought goes away, every feeling goes away. You remain empty in front of the lake waiting to full your soul with the sun and its reflection in the surface of the lake. An experience to remember. Yes.

Never miss this place if you are visiting Rajasthan. It is situated near Ajmer and you will get bus to reach here from Ajmer. As the name implies the best time to visit this place is during sunset. It is a calm place in the banks or a lake. There are many artists singing and playing different musical instruments, playing children, hippies, pigeons,monks,and many people. what a place to sit in peace for a long time. Come, sit in peace and leave.

The best place I've found to view the lake and town at sunset. I was expecting it to be an absolute debacle, but it was very calm leisurely. There's a couple of good cafes abs a bunch of people hanging out and taking pics. This was also the only place I wasn't harassed for money.
