Sunrise Point Lepchajagat - Tourist attraction in Ghoom Pahar Forest - Darjeeling, India

The view point is about five to 10 minutes of slight climbing up the hills. The place is great. You see Darjeeling to your right and the mighty Kanchanjungha to your front. All the snow cladded mountains of Nepal India border at your disposal. Really great and worth the small hike.

You have to try this place out. The sunrise you get to see here on a clear day is just breathtaking. If the weather is clear, you can clearly see the sun rise from the right and kanchanjangha on your front. There is seating arrangement. You can visit this place throughout the day. Better substitute of Tiger Hill for viewing Kanchenjungha and the sunrise (because it's not a crowded place yet). Unobstructed view of Mt Kanchenjungha if the weather is clear. Few benches are available for sitting. There's a swing too,

Lovely Pine forest, peaceful place in the lap of nature

Nothing much to see. There are a lot of homestay so you can stay for the night and in the morning can go to pine forest view point. And if you are lucky you can see Kunchenjunga

Lepchajagat is a very small town surrounded by beautiful mountains and a breathtaking view of kanchanjangha.. Since it is an extremely small town there are no big hotels here but the homestays are quite cozy and their foods are so soo sooo yummy.. From here if you trek a very small distance between the pine forest there is a view point which gives a 360 degree view of mountains and on just the opposite side you can see the whole Darjeeling town spread over mountains. Definitely a must visit place for some peace and alone time.

Awesome place. Mainly we went there to enjoy its serenity and yes, we were not disappointed. Unluckily due to some poor weather conditions we were not able to view the Kanchenjunga peak. However, we rather enjoyed the other side of the beauty. I recommend this place to everyone, whoever wants to go for short trip and stay in a serene place on a lap of nature. At the same time, this place also suitable for people who want to feel the silence of nature. Enjoy!!
