Sunkeri Kaalihole Bridge - Bridge in Karwar - Karavali, India

The veiws from this bridge are awesome. Waking up early and coming up to this view is all worth it. Come early morning between 6:30-8:30 am to catch this amazing view. So peaceful and is absolutely a treat to your eyes. The place is located nearly 7-8 kms away from the national highway, The bridge connects two villages namely kadwad and sunkeri, it is a newly built bridge few years ago, replacing the old bridge which has become obsolete,

New bridge connecting Sunkeri and Kadwad villages. It is built on Kali River which divides the two villages. The old bridge is also there which is closed for vehicle, but people still goes there for a walk and to see fishermen doing small fishing activities. The scenic beauty is fantastic from this place. At one side you will see mountain ranges of Western Ghats and the other side mangroves which protects the two villages. You can also see the sunset scene from the bridge.

A less known gem of a location.. very calm location to witness sunset... It's just a bridge surrounded with river hills and mangroves.. Ull never regret a visit to this location during sunset... Feels like a therapy . The place is located nearly 7-8 kms away from the national highway

Beautiful place. Pleasent, quiet and peaceful place to view sunrise and sunsets. Good to watch the fishermen with their small boats, going about fishing in the Backwaters of the River Kali. Sunkeri in Karwar is very popular for the back waters covered by Mangrove trees. These waters are rich in nutrients and is a breeding ground for fishes and prawns. Acquatic Birds feed on small fish and insect making it popular feeding ground for some migratory birds. Egret birds are commonly seen here.
