SUNGAM THOPPU KADAI - Restaurant in Thorayur - Coimbatore, India

Other than the ambience and parking space, this place has nothing much to offer. It fails on the most important aspect of a restaurant, the food. Have been here twice, left disappointed both the times. The food tastes below average, quantity is less and the price is on the higher side. Dessert portions are a joke, elanir payasam is served in a small teacup size pot, probably 75ml. A brownie with ice cream is a small piece of brownie, probably 50gms with a scoop of ice cream. Price vs quantity makes no sense. Butter chicken masala was way too sweet, full of sugar, left a bad after taste. We informed the waiter about it but he couldn't care less. The only good item in the menu was the crab fry. For a group of 6, for a *light* dinner with dessert, the bill was 3000, definitely not worth the price.

We experienced this location last night while travelling from Udumalpettu. Good atmosphere, ideal location for spending more time in nature with a large family.It's more like a farm, full of coconut trees. The cuisine is also standard.The only issue we had was a single dish that was overpriced by 250 rupees and came in an excessively small serving. I am not happy and I will not recommend this place to others.

Great food and ambience was fantastic. We ordered all types of soups and everything were equally good. Appetizers and biriyanis were yummy as well. Our kids liked the brownie with ice cream .. Totally an experience worth the money and drive..

Nice place to eat food with family and friends. Very calm and neat restaurant. There are lot of Non-veg and few Vegetarian food options available. Plenty of Parking space is available.. Tender coconut payasam is good but I feel price is little high.

Service and atmosphere is good. But food is not worth the money. For brownie with ice cream they were charging more but quantity is too less. Bit spicy on non veg starters

Good ambience. Worth trying for the different experience. Taste is ok'sh. Portions are adequate. Nominal pricing. Authentic kongu taste is not as expected in few dishes. It's a good try for who wants a good food in a farm house experience.spacious parking space

The place was quite nice and the food was good but the issue is it didn't have a special item or any noticeable food variety. The briyani was ok but the portion was small, the starters was good but it just wasn't up to the level. I recommend the hotel to add some special in their menu.

This is one of the best place to bring in you're family for a get together r else a pit Stop while traveling.. as you ll enjoy the scenic beauty here with the climate. Apart from this staffs were friendly and we forgot our phone which was returned to us by one of them.. Food is really great price seems bit high but it's worth that price.. no food flavouring ingredients were added.. Their briyani is not recommended apart from that everything else tastes great .. Their desserts are outstanding ..
