A guest house with basic amenities. I was working and had a table and chair, fast WiFi The 4th floor rooms are old decoration but airy and views outside. The rooms on lower floors have better tiles and decoration but no view outside and low air circulation. The staff is courteous and helpful. Didn't face any issues. Location is few minutes from park Street. Some local food options available within 2 minutes walking distance.
In same price category some rooms are very spacious and some rooms are not. I stayed there 2 times. 1st time 36 days and 2nd time 27 days. 2nd time I had to change rooms 4 times, in same price category to get a good room which is really hassle some. Staffs are very good and co-operative. They clean rooms & washrooms, provide clean sheets and pillows cover in every alternative day. You can cook your own food in their kitchen. Kitchen is equipped with induction cooktop, utensils and other kitchenwares. 24/7 lift service. Famous Restaurants, Markets and Shopping Centers are in 5-15 minutes walking distance. This Guest House Building is a heritage of 170 years old. The rooftop has a very beautiful garden with sitting areas. This Guest House could easily get 5 stars if the room space issues were not there. Hope you will enjoy your stay there.

I recently stayed at Sunflower Guest House and paid only Rs1400 per night for a Good AC room shown in the pictures. Trust me, it was an incredible deal considering the overall experience. The room was spotlessly clean, including the washroom, bedsheets, and pillows. The AC provided a refreshing escape from the Kolkata heat. The rooftop garden was my favorite feature, offering a stunning view of the city and a perfect spot for relaxing with an evening tea. After comparing several nearby hotels, I can confidently say that Sunflower Guest House offers the best value for money. Other places I considered felt less safe and lacked the same level of quality. Keep in mind that it's a guest house, so you won't have door-to-door room service, but given the price, the service was excellent. The location is another highlight of this guest house. It's in a well-maintained historic building, adding to its charm. In conclusion, Sunflower Guest House is a fantastic choice for its affordable price. Rooms are not well ventilated so you'll be suffocating a lot. Rooms with big windows are better. You'll get a fair amount of discount if you stay with groups of 8-10. Otherwise it's not that reasonable.

I simply loved the place. The Guest House is managed by good people. It is a guest house thus one cannot look for luxury here. The rooms are neat and well kept and comfortable. The rates are also very reasonable. The Guest House is situated on the Royd Road near "Bata More" in Kolkata which is in a walkable distance to many important places of Kolkata, namely, New Market, Park Street, Metro Stations, Esplanade area etc
If you are looking for a cheap option near Park Street area and you have nowhere to go, then you can check in here. The rooms have basic amenities like TV and free WiFi. Washrooms are OK. Some rooms have AC but you might not get the remote for some unknown reason. Do not expect any service from them. The staffs can rudely refuse to change the dirty bed sheets while giving you the rooms. Also do not expect to get your room cleaned anytime during your stay. Frankly, not recommended.
