A historical piece of beautiful architecture that functioned as a palace during the Travancore era which is now the Directorate of Archaeology. Still some customs are done here during Arattu Festival of Padmanabha Swamy Temple. The palace is fortified and it needs to be protected. Some rumors are there as it was used as a prison during the earlier kingship era.
