The hotel is amazing. And staff is very courteous and helpful. The food is good also. Sometimes they have live music show in the open bar area. Yesternight we were a part of it and it was beautiful. The view from rooms is amazing. The only tiny issue is that its a 15 mins uphill walk from mg marg. If you are fit then its ok otherwise it is a task in itself. Although hotel reception will arrange a cab in case you need it to mg marg. But overall a great experience.
Loved the experience! I visited there and it was a very cozy place and the food was good. Just that the walk to hotel is the hard as there are no lights there. The stuff was very friendly and their smiles truly made my day. they were all so friendly makes me wish I had gotten their social media to follow them. (If you know please let me know)
The hotel was good overall . Good location., 15 mins walking distance from MG MARG the restaurant service was very bad . The staff wasn't oriented with the menu themselves and they took a loongg time to serve a la carte breakfast. The food tastes pretty average. I will suggest you to go to MG MARG instead and have your meals . also , there were several power cuts Otherwise the rooms , lounge area , Housekeeping, views were very good and satisfying.THE VIEW FROM THE ROOM WAS AMAZING (JUNIOR SUITE ROOM WITH VIEW) :)
Beautiful property. About 800m from MG with a climb to reach. The only issue was that the staff was too busy on their cell phones. Had to check two playing their phones at high volume. The play zone is poorly maintained. Location is beautiful though
The staff is very friendly and the room was really nice. But the road to the hotel is really bad and dark without light. Walking from hotel to and fro is not recommended
Premium rooms with fantastic views. Food was ok but fairly priced.
However the worst part of the hotel is 1) Location and 2) Terrible fleecing of customers due to non availability of the cabs by a cohort of hotel staff and taxi brokers. If you need to hire a cab, the hotel will only present you with options you cannot refuse. Just to give you a feel, we were charged 1000 bucks for 4 adults and 2 kids to take us to the ropeway which is about 1 km away. This'll neutralize whatever teaser offers you get to stay here. In short, exercise caution if you don't have prior transport arrangements.
Namnang is an excellent hotel for stay in Gangtok. Very friendly and courteous staff. Beautiful location. Wonderful food. We enjoyed the South Indian items available in breakfast which were on par with food cooked in South India. Men providing service were very respectful of the guests. We had wonderful holiday staying here. Spacious parking space available. Only one negative point was that the road leading to hotel which is narrow and damaged needs some renovation. I recommend this hotel to everyone.
Great hotel. Excellent staff some of them being Priyanka,Mamat,Avina! The food service was a bit slow. I would recommend this hotel.
