The worst hotel for the price. We stayed here for three nights, took a family room at INR 15k per night. It is a hotel in a mall. Initially it all looked fine. The horror began when we started using the bathroom. Nothing worked in it. No hot water. The faucets were faulty/broken. After an hour-long ordeal with the useless hotel staff, they gave us a bucket of hot water. It was horrible, especially for my mom who is a senior citizen. They tried to move us to another room that was simply substandard. Furthermore the staff was drunk and after a point spoke to us rudely. Next day we were shifted to another family room, but the view of Kanchenjunga that we were paying for was gone. Anyway, we agreed and moved. All seemed well but the hot water continued to be a problem. Pls beware. This hotel spoilt our trip. We dreaded getting back to the hotel. The breakfast was below average and the highlight dish was maggi! Even during checkout, there was no remorse in the staff as if nothing went wrong. Terrible. Terrible. Terrible!!!

Excellent hospitality, prime location had a great stay over here. The room was very spacious and well maintained with all the facilities required for daily use. Room service is great as well, best part is never complained or showed any kind of dissatisfaction for any thing that we asked for. Extremely neat and clean, no foul smell or dirty bed covers. Very happy and satisfied with the service and security they provide for the vehicles. Best part about the place is the ever smiling and always ready to help staff whether be someone in the reception or someone responsible for room service or the managers themselves. Extremely helpful people without any dissatisfaction or negative attitude towards the guests which most of the so called prestigious hotels lag. Had a great stay and would definitely visit again.

While the Summit Montana is located very centrally so one has to climb up or down too much for even a meal, I have some genuine concerns about their hospitality. The staff working in housekeeping and waiting tables at the restaurant are just so welcoming. I would maybe recommend a meal at the restaurant for the more-or-less delicious and healthy food and the hospitable staff, but ONLY a meal perhaps. There are better and cheaper options available just downstairs. Everyone else besides waiting staff and housekeeping, however, like those at the reception and in room service, are far from empathetic and warm. We gave this particular hotel 4 days of business with our stay and even meals, but they were quite inconsiderate and money-minded as I decided to change my order within a 1 minute window of ordering room service. They quoted "digital billing" as a reason, and as someone who has experience with digital accounting, I believe that was just a conniving way of making more money. I was just so upset and disgruntled, I decided to check out the very next day and check into another hotel. The spa treatments are notably only actually available at another property for which the average tourist would have to climb several heights that aren't for us (from the plains) and was excruciating for me personally. I would like to mention the person, who helped us with the booking at Montana, was very kind and helpful. The massage therapists were incredible and professional. I was super relaxed. The food is average at best, and yet for the convenience of the location, I ordered room service multiple times. I wish I hadn't though, especially because average tasting food (not local btw, for those hoping to try local cuisine here), is just not worth the almost x4 prices they have on their limited menu with un-welcoming staff. The rooms were stinky as we entered, including the bathrooms. They sprayed air freshener, however, and that made it manageable. Towels weren't provided and we had to ask for them. Housekeeping staff was wonderfully courteous, and credit to them as it's absolutely due. Just a very confusing stay at the hotel. Most definitely not staying here again and not recommending either. Really only stayed for the view, but that is something that you'll get in most other hotels in Darjeeling.

The property is a blessed with a fantastic view. The staff seems non-stimulus and non responsive. when we book the room we were offered complementary spa service for 45 minutes. when we ask the same thing at the spa reception, we were denied the same. when I urged to speak with someone senior from the management, we were told that the same voucher which we were given is not valid to be used in spa and a different voucher should be provided by the front desk. then only we can enjoy after a couple of verifications I was told by the reception person that if I email my voucher they will provide me the offering. post my email I was provided an appointment 10:00 a.m. the next day. to my surprise, there were nobody from the spa till 11:15 a.m. the next day. I urge you people to understand the value of time even if you don't value yours. please respect others time. it was very embarrassing for myself to ask for things which were promised by the property. why we were doing our reservation. once my wife went for the spa, she was informed that only 30 minutes will be provided. I have attached the screenshots of the voucher provided during the reservation. any services asked for takes too long to be delivered. the day when we checked into the property. I asked for a bottle of RO water. The same was delivered after 55 minutes and 2 phone calls. The plug points of the hair dryer in the washroom are damaged and are very risky. A room upgrade was requested and we were told that the property is sold out for the day. later we found out that guest who checked in after us were given a complimentary upgrade

Excellent property in the heart of town . In fact it's better to be here that in other parts of the cities because of the nearby amenities and shopping options. View of Kanchenjungha from the room is unbeatable..concierge service is the best in the town. We 5 families stayed here and had a blast. Grateful to the lady GM of the property who was of immense help. Will come back for sure

It is a nice hotel no doubt but their service is a little bit disappointing. We had to ask for toiletries, slippers and etc although they claimed the room was made up. And they don't provide proper information about their free spa during booking untilyou ask for it, that's why people cannot really avail this facility. They have a fixed time for spa which is from 10 am to 5 pm (changeable), but most of the tourists remain outside of the hotel during this time for sightseeing ultimately they don't get the spa facility.

The hotel property did not match the pictures at all. It is described to be a heritage property whereas it's a normal hotel. The room we booked turned out to be so small in reality and the bathroom smelled so badly. The service was also quite poor. On asking for air freshener, they were reluctant to even leave it in the bathroom if needed. One of the receptionists at night was completely unapologetic about our overall dissatisfaction expressed and the mismatch between online photos and reality. He literally told us "the photos of the hotel online are obviously photoshopped to look so good". They supposedly have 2 sections in the property, heritage and normal - this is something that's not mentioned anywhere online and we were told then. If you want to stay in the so-called heritage section, you have to call the hotel and book that specifically. The restaurant staff was plenty but all least bothered to serve. They were least attentive, not at all smiling and sorry to say but clueless. We found hair in our food 3 times. Also we ordered Maggi in room service on Day 1 and despite clearly requesting for it to be well cooked, they served it undercooked and watery. We sent it back for it to be well done and it came back tasting and smelling like non-veg food. I'm guessing it was prepared in the same utensils. All in all the experience staying here was very average. Wouldn't recommend staying here.

Nice location. If you want to stay around Darjeeling mall then you may opt for this hotel. But I must say for this price we expected a better service. Room cleanliness was not up to the mark. Food was so so. Only best thing was it's location.
