Extremely unpleasant booking experience, wide discrepancy between houseboat and booking agency on availability. Poor responsiveness on calls and unaccommodating attitude on basic amenities like putting an extra bed in fairly large room. When choosing luxury leisurely travel, these attributes are key for pleasant experience, unfortunately not the case during my booking. Posting same so others can benefit from this feedback.
Sukoon exceeded my expectations in every which way. A true gem offering a perfect blend of luxury style natural beauty impeccable hospitality and sustainable stay.Intricately carved Kashmiri woodwork on the walls , bright colorful rooms and to top it all.. luxury bathrooms which have both bath tub and shower cubicle.. stocked with high quality toiletries. Bequtiful loung and dining rooms..Food that tastes great...Staff is warm friendly and humble. The highlight of my stay was Hi Tea served at the terrace restaurant with live sufi music and breath taking views of sunset on the Dal Lake with the shikaras floating around .. a picture postcard perfect setting ! Highly recommended to anyone who enjoys Luxury breathtaking views and top notch hospitality !! Special mention : Babu ...professional warm cheerful humble and extremely service oriented.
Glad to choose Sukoon houseboat. Good hospitality. Very well maintained. View from this houseboat terrece is perfect. Can sit on a terrce in peace to enjoy sukoon. Rooms were nice and big. Nothing short of a five star property. Bathrooms were lovely. Do not miss their food. You can enjoy candle light dinner on rooftop. They set it up very nicely. Thumbs up to FnB staff. Food tatstes very good. Overall... i highly recommend Sukoon houseboat.
We loved having the Houseboat experience as a private accommodation for our group of 10. There are 5 rooms. Wish we could have had early morning coffee and hot water all day long for showers or baths but service was great when staff was aboard the boat. Most staff, services, food, drinks came from a stationary house in the rear of the boathouse. Wi-Fi was OK, it was a unique experience that might have been more enjoyable in warmer weather. Food was excellent but you need to BYOB if you want hard liquor. Beer or wine.
The house boot is excellent in terms of location, Rooms and Services. Evening high tea is the highlight of the venue with local singers performing. For dinner we opted for Kashmir thalli and it was a over dose of local food . All in all worth the money, away from the crowd.
One of the best houseboats in Srinagar. Offers 2 time shikara rides during sunrise and sunset. The food is excellent. And the overall ambience of the place isn't something to be missed while you're doing a houseboat tour. If I HAD TO complain, I'd say that the food service was slow. But everything was as delicious as could be and we couldn't have enough of their Jasmine rice. A must try for all.
