Sukoon Homestay - Home Stay in Jalna, Talli Toli - Almora, India

Great place with super caretakers! We had a lovely stay 2night at Sukoon and Manoj was super helpful. No complaints with food or anything else. If you're looking for a offbeat location and stay this is a perfect getaway.

** Not Recommended. Please avoid stay** View is good. Very Poor road to the home stay, for cars or bikes. Food is quite bad & so is the service, we faced water issues too, the washrooms ran out of water frequently. It's not value for money. Owner doesn't stay at property so it's mismanaged. You'd want to leave after staying for a few hours. Yet here some photos from the home stay

We had an amazing stay at this place. The view is amazing from here. They have decorated the place so well and maintained neatly. We booked it thru hushstays and our process and experience with them was smooth. Amazing view and nice place to rest and enjoy the nature. Location has good food and includes free breakfast. Our caretaker took care of us so well. He was friendly and helpful. He took care of each and every request we had. He also cooked us really good food. Caretaker is one of the best behaved person we had lately. He knows how to maintain the place. I would definitely recommend this place and we will be back for sure.

Had a tough time staying at Sukoon. 1) No power back up. 2) Leaking pipes and damp walls. 3 ) Filthy kitchen and unhygienic food 4) 2 Dogs at the property were seen licking the utensils in the morning. And No interest/ intervention of the host . Property and guests are left to two servants

I think this is the sort of place everyone should come to on a regular basis. the home is built in unison with nature. the owner is a super humble and diligent guy, one who values education and respects his guests immensely. To the point he will go out of his way to make sure you are comfortable. The house is rustic. cosy with gorgeous interiors. when they say pet friendly, they really mean it too. the room is huge and both our dogs were very comfortable there. The caretaker Manoj is always there just a word away. he is so hardworking its amazing. he loves pets too and they have 2 beautiful bunnies on the property, who are friendly to boot. one of them rubbed noses with our german shepherd who fell in love with them. at night the house lights up and gives a totally different look. you can sit there and enjoy the quiet and the lights or you can party till dawn. as you wish. Both Mr Pradeep (owner) and the caretaker/cook Manoj is amenable to both. Wake up in the middle of the night to get the clearest views of the milky way and numerous constellations that we have ever seen. we went milky way chasing and by george i do believe we will come here again for the same. eat simple home cooked food. the food was so delicious that we ate properly yet managed to lose weight. never happens on a trip! enjoy the beauty of the currently flowering Buransh (rhododendron) trees around, keep an eye out for leopards especially towards even and especially if you have pets. go with manoj to shop for local salts,daals, squashes, sweets etc the bed is so comfortable. we slept so much and so deeply. we didnt realise how burnt out we really were and how jaded. till we slept, woke up, slept, woke up and eventually left happy, refreshed and thankful that there are still places like this and people like these.

Beautiful location away from the hustle and bustle of city noises. True to its name it indeed gives you sukoon and Rahat! Kid friendly. Has all amenities to make your stay comfortable in such a remote location. The help staff Manoj is also very helpful and takes care of all your needs. Must visit if you are looking to get soaked in nature.

The place is great, to witness great views and escape the hustle bustle of the city. However our experience was spoiled by the hosts. They were extremely unprofessional and rude and didn't had any experience in hosting guests it seems. They made us feel that we have made a mistake of choosing to stay with them. We had communicated before our arrival that we do not eat heavy dinner and will order some light food from ala carte, however when we reached there they forced us to order 2 thalis and didn't give any other option. Neither the caretaker nor the sales office responded to our calls. Thanks to Mr. Manoj the cook who accomodated our request for the first night. The next morning Mr Pradeep(the most unprofessional caretaker you will ever meet) called me and started fighting and misbehaving. We had booked the place for 3 nights but checked out after 2 days as our vacation was spoiled from the very beginning. Would not recommend if you are looking out for a peaceful vacation.
