The best thing is it is about 300 metre from Golden temple. So if you want to stay nearby, it is a good budget option. It is a budget stay. The hotel we booked through agoda cancelled at the last moment. This was the only one we got. So we had to go. The entrance is through lane. Not good. The room was also small. But it was chilled. However they have installed AC. But you won't need it. We stayed for a day, so it did pretty much good.

Don't go with the images shown on the Internet. The rooms are very bad and the service is pathetic. Stayed here on 16 Apr 2023. The experience was horrible. Reached in the night at 2.30 am and was left with no other option to look for another stay. Also, yhe homestay is in a gali and you have to walk through narrow passage with luggage to reach there. Vehicle cannot reach there.

One of the most worst experience of my Life. We get fooled with the google reviews but my request to all the other people who are searching good rooms near to Golden Temple will be,Please don't book your rooms in Sukhmani Family Stay,You will end up with paying a pricey,un cleaned,broken and not working toilets,filthy and smelly,no necessary things in the rooms and in the toilets,place is right inside the old tiny and dirty streets where you can't go by walk in the night time due to the dangerous street dogs You can easily get the much much better room and experience with the same amount of money they are charging to the people I doubt about how they got so many positive reviews on google

The family are some of the nicest people I have ever meet in India. He answered all my questions patiencly about the wonderful Sikhism. The hotel was fully booked when I arrived as go show, I had no booking made in advance so the owner brought me to another place near by and made sure I had a room at his place the following day. After I got sick, the son provided me with herbal tea and medicine until I was healthy again. I got a very acceptable rate as well. The roof top is beautiful to relax in the sun, away from the noise. I can only recommend this place. Namaste Ji for everything until we meet again.

The accomodation was fine, room was clean. It is bit inside but very close to Golden temple They have delicious Amritsari kulcha for Breakfast Host was kind and friendly There was no noise from outside which is good Paid around 900 which I feel it is decent

Great rates and great rooms according to the price. Rooms were neat and clean. Its very near to the golden temple, market, jallianwala bagh, famous eating points etc. Bas thoda sa andar gali me jana padta hai so ur car cannot be parked there. You'll have to keep ur car at car parking which is around 500m to 1km frm here and then take an Erickshaw or walk to this place. Owner and his son are good. 2nd problem we faced was the fan kept running at no.5 and it couldn't be reduced to any point so it became bit chilly in the rooms, the tap was leaking and the room was bit small but it gets compensated with the location this place is in, the cleaning and the affordable price. Pros: Price is quite economic, Excellent behaviour of owner and staff. AC rooms with gyser. Cleanliness also good. 400 m from golden temple parking and 450 m from Golden Temple. Cons: Room size is quite small. Located Inside narrow clumsy lane of Amritsar.
