This is bit difficult fort to trek yet very interesting when you reach a top. The views are very beautiful, only that one has to bare the risks and pain to reach the top. Also it is good to be aware of directions as the tablelands are wast and people tend to lost and roam in circles to find way down.
We travelled from pune to the village called *PACHCHAPUR* via mumbai pune highway. Travel time is around 1:30 to 2 hours. Depends u r stamina,The village is 2 kms away from the base village and we have stayed at one villager's house (nishant tambat). He also arranges food for trekkers. Then from their house we went to the thakurwadi village which is base village and started the trek. It took us around 4 hours to reach the top. The trek is not that difficult but it's very long. It's a pleasure trek with small small waterfalls, mesmerising nature and full of clouds. The plateau of the fort is very big and one will required just 2 hours to explore the full plateau. On top you can also find one small shiva temple along with beautiful lake near the temple. While going down it took us around 1 hour 30 mts. The grade level is medium because it's a long trek. You don't find any chai tapri or hotel so carry snack, energy bar and enough water with you. Have a good trek and take care.
Beautiful place less crowded. Elegant view. Easy trekking. Will take for 2 hrs up and 1-1.5 hr return. One hotel is on top.
For trek, it takes 2:30 to 3 hours, Fort is vast, and we could only cover seeing 2/3rd of the fort on 09/09/2023, Saturday. Fort is so nice.
A very beautiful trek to do in Monsoon. Also it less crowded as it is less explored by the trekkers. Do visit Maha Darvaja also.

Definitely one of the scenic and biggest fort in Raigad District of Maharashtra, India. It can be a day hike and you can also do an overnight hike. The trail leading to the fort is very scenic and has amazing flora and fauna. The history of this fort is really fascinating. The ancient architecture is really beautiful. There is a temple at the Top of the fort and couple of structures. You could also find a lake on the top. The fort is really huge and it take a whole day to discover the fort. It's best to start early and spend as much time as you can at the Top. Please be on your best behavior and respect the fort and the nature and do not litter the place.
One of the best and unseen fort to trek, area is huge so planned the trip accordingly
