Stix - Chinese restaurant in Chennai - Chennai, India

Wonderful place to dine in. We went there to celebrate my husband's birthday. The food was so good. The Sichuan hot & sour soup was delicious. The chef had customised it as per our taste which was a wow factor. We had chicken spring roll & crystal prawn dimsum as starters. The dimsums were surreal in terms of taste & texture. The spring roll was good. For the main course, we had, Barbeque chicken egg fried rice & Shui zhu lamb. Both were so tasty. The lamb was tender & cooked to perfection. Finally we had cheesecake pastry for the birthday rituals. The surprising part was they didn't have a celebration cake. The price was too high. We spent 5k+ in above items. The ambience of the restaurant & hotel lobby is just average.

This is arguably the best restaurant I've been in Chennai. Chef Vignesh prepared a gorgeous dinner for us. The service is fantastic. Melody and Jen served us like a king, with beautiful smile. Food choices are very good. Highly recommended.

Stix at Hyatt serves a very small but nice Chinese menu. They have expert chefs coming from around the country and world to bring in their special asian food.

If you choose to pay over Rs2500per person (excluding beverages) sharing essentially two starters (Sichuan pork, Xinjiang cumin lamb) and two mains (Yangzhou fried rice and Dan Dan noodles), it's not unusual to expect an above average dining experience and the chefs to conjure up something authentic, tasty and special. Instead, what we get with the newly launched menu at Stix is an unappetising bowl of unapologetic empty promises and a very misleading end-product. Almost everything we ordered was beset with fundamental flaws, cut of pork used was too dry, the lamb was very salty, the fried rice was deeply disappointing (no wok hay, breakfast bacon strips used instead of chinese pork ham) and the Dan Dan noodles (ultra bland, missing Sichuan peppers/mustard greens and the spicy soul of a good Dan Dan). Given how competitive the arena of Asian restaurants in Chennai is, Stix might want to shed its delusions of grandeur and not embarrass it's diners with such a subpar counterfeit fare.

Stopped for lunch at Stix and had a great meal. The ambience is pleasant. Hostess Jen was helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and offered good recommendations. Sichuan style chilli chicken was a bit on the saltier side nevertheless delicious. Heena was warm and super attentive.

Had a great dinner with friends stix at Hyatt Regency Chennai . Thanks to Hostess Jen for guiding us and recommending the Chinese food and melody too for the nice service. I would recommend Stix for their best dumplings . Thanks to all the chelf too .

Stix at Hyatt regency is a fantastic place to enjoy a great Chinese meal. The China town festival had some tantalising flavours. The staff especially Mahima and Pooja were very cordial. A special thanks to the wonderful chef Walter Chung for helping us choose the perfect dishes for the evening.

Mahima's service was professional, pleasant and very friendly. We enjoyed the food and experience. Definitely a place we would revisit.
