I had a memorable birthday here. The people here are super friendly and totally cool and more down to earth. The entire camping experience was amazing. Right from staying in the flying tent to safari, mountain view, food, camp fire and what not. Must try once in a lifetime experience. You can enjoy the nature and amazing views! Thanks to everyone in the team.
The staff are amazing, marshalls zunaid and siraju are the best (they are environmentalist and have a best knowledge on the overall sightseeing) Place: one of the best adventorous stay in chembra. The night safari is the once in a life time experience. Disadvantages: 1.Tents are not rain proof.
For my first camping experience i think it was just the perfect start! I went in Dec so my experience was a bit different to those who have been there in the monsoon. People pay alot to go for nature retreats that are a bit sophiscated but this here is all you need for a simple peaceful real WILD experience. The camp team was so humble and providing of all the basic needs with enough balance to push you out of your day to day comfort zone. I absolutely loved my entire experience- from collecting woods for the campfire to collecting & drinking stream water, sleeping in those hammock styled tents underneath the stars and open in sky in middle of the forest estate to the night safar it was all a wholesome experience! Would definitely recommend it for people to try it once!
The place is picturesque and it's a good experience. But the staff there unnecessarily try to hype about the place. The food they serve is not adequate. And the night safari is a good drive but you wont find animals often which is totally unpredictable in any safari. But there is a guy called "Siraj" who fooled some of us by showing some paw marks and claiming that it was Tiger's and even said that paw marks were 15 mins old. And later we saw something glimmering in the dark which he claimed as Leopard's eyes. The funny part is he said the same story to other 2 groups as well. All in all, very shady stories. Not at all worth the money.
If you want to get fooled, you are most welcome. This is simply creating a hype. Only and only you are paying just to be awake and enjoying the hanging tent, nothing. This Guy who takes care of such activities, usually stays in the Zostel property, few hundred metres from Stingray, just to hunt his prey to earn money. You'll literally see no animals, no such experience of feeling like in forest. Nearby are resorts and all, so where the hell is forest nature stay. Keep safari, all just to create hype. Please don't go for it.
Very beautiful places. If you're a nature lover, you must visit this place. It's located near the Chembra Forest. Shameer was very friendly and we loved the place. It's an adventure stay. They only book 4-5 people in a day. Rs4500 looks overpriced but they keep high prices since they do not want more people to visit this place as it is located near to the forest corridor. We need to collect wood for bon fire, collect the water from Natural waterfalls. No bisleri waters are allowed. Decent food. Note: If you're looking for luxury homestay, or homestay as per your comfortable, please do not book this resort.
The entire experience was awful. Granted that the whole point is to go camping and have a taste of the woods, but there is no point in providing a tent that is dirty and rat infested. The safari was utterly disappointing, not for the lack of sightings, that is unpredictable everywhere. But the way the guide tried to fool us was next level. The quantity of food was inadequate. All in all, very poorly managed and not worth the price. There are not a lot of facilities that you can expect to be provided at such height and amidst a forest, but at least the quantity of food should be enough for the number of people that is agreed upon well in advance.
No documentary shown as mentioned in the itinerary, No barbecue, very limited food after intense walking, just 1 piece of chicken, salad, raita and bread for dinner. Breakfast quality was average. Pros - 1. Great Concept 2. Tent stay experience 3. Guide to take us through the forest Cons - 1. Extremely overpriced for 4,500 rupees per head. (1.5-2k per head for this experience is good more than that is not worth at all) 2. Food should be improved
