Beautiful historical place in Gohpur
Really one of the most famous historic place which symbolises the great sacrifices of India's Real Heroes like Patriot Martyr Kanaklata and Mukunda Kakoti for India's struggle for Independence. Their Bronze Statue in front of Gohpur's Largest Public Pond is regarded as one of the most respected prestigious place which'll always inspire us to love our own nation.
Its a historic place. Kanaklata Baruah was a small girl of 16 yeras age when she takes the bullet of British at Gohpur Police Station in 1942. She was a brave girl. Gohpurians are proud for that such a legend born there.
Because kanaklata was a martyr of Assam.The statue is inside a park and has a big pond called Borpukhuri.

Maintained very poorly but I give 5 star to the name Kanaklata who iinspire our society a lot.
This is a park has the statue of kanaknlata and Mukanda kakati beside the tank.. By seeing at statue I feel patriotic.
