Service is simply non-existent in this branch. It has been short-staffed for many months now and previous staff have all left or been transferred with inadequate replacements being made. Papers are in a complete mess on every desk and no action is taken on official requests/applications for weeks and weeks! The new Branch Manager seems helpful but is completely overwhelmed with the quantum of backlog and current workload. SBI should urgently take corrective measures to restore the wonderful service levels that this branch once provided.
For simple information one has to visit the Branch so many times .The telephone no. provided in the pass book & cheque book is not working or non existent though at least the cheque book has been issued very recently .However that is the same with Grievance Redressal Cell Kolkata If the telephone numbers of such (controlling) office mentioned in the website are not existent or not working the branch can jolly well be complacent with such sorrowful state. The mobile no of authorities as provided by the staff member is equally useless as nobody picks up the phone. Everybody wants to pass the bucket & the customer suffers.
The branch works from 1000am to 0400pm on all working days. 2nd & 4th Saturdays are closed. Found the Branch Manager working in his chair at 0941am.
Very worst branch of SBI I ever visited. Too much crowdy with less staff. You have to wait a long. The ATM attached is out of servicer. Waist of time and energy.
