Stars & Pines - Cafe in Mat - Almora, India

Me and my cousins visited near by Kasardevi temple and after that we were so hungry and there we found this amazing place just near by. Aaahh!! What should I say about this aesthetically magnificent place! We hangout at this place about 2 to 3 hours and we really enjoyed the company of couple who are running this glamorous cafe. The food was just so tasty. There were lot of games and musical instruments as well as the plants, the decor of the cafe was so astonishing that we were so lost that we didn't even notice how time flew away. We would really really want to come back whenever we will be there. Thank you for giving us such a heavenly experience.

Cafe us great and vibe is good. Hosts are amazing and polite. You can enjoy great views from the cafe with amazing food. There is just one issue with this place The dorms are not clean and maintained, there are alot of spiders near and around the beds. But the views and the location is very good. And it is near the kasar devi temple just a small hike 5 to 10 mins and you are there

Stars and Pines is a beautiful offroad getaway located on the way to Kasar Devi temple. It's run by this young educated couple who have added stars to this old property through their good customer service and excellent food. A few of my friends and I spent a night there on a friend's reference. We walked in late evening thinking we will miss dinner but Rajatji, the owner, arranged it all for us in a heartbeat. We all crashed in one room (cozy bunkbeds) merrying till late. In the morning since it was foggy, we couldn't see the beautiful view of the mountains that the property otherwise has to offer. The place has a gorgeous cafe which serves awesome food and a good view of the mountains. It's designed from everything waste, isn't that incredible? Last but not the least, I forgot my wallet at the property which Rajatji said he had found. He is yet to courier it to me which I am still waiting on. So yes, their honesty on top of everything was 'cherry on a cake' which would definitely make me wanna go back there again. I recommend this place to everyone looking for a nice weekend serene getaway from all the city hustle and bustle.

Run by a lovely couple, take care of guests themselves. Rooms are comfy( though we go for doms). Best part is food ( must try pan cakes). Excellent view from the property. Cafeteria is eye catching. Best from waste theme. Lots of books to read at cafeteria. Area of improvement. Wash rooms. Doms wall should be repaired and repainted. Love the stay.

Stars and pines is absolutely beautiful, with amazing food, people and rooms. The hygiene is well maintained be it in food or rooms. The hosts are a delight and very helpful. I don't understand the thread of bad reviews for this place seems like a personal vendetta.

It is a beautiful place, very peaceful, serene beauty. The view is amazing. Their cafe vibes are soo gud. They are best in hospitality. Fare is very reasonable as per other properties in the area.

Completely unsafe and unhygienic for a family or couple.(This rating and review is just for staying about 2 hours in room after that I left and arranged a new room somewhere else ) Basically It is a old village house which is renovated a little and the rooms are kind of matchbox which are such small that only a 6 by 6 bed can be arranged and the door and window are completely glass doors which does not gives u any privacy and the curtains are transparent and the lock is completely pathetic. Washrooms were too dirty and The room was not ready inspite of advance booking.

place is amazing ,just under kasardevi temple on binsar road. The vibe of a place is really very good and view from cafe is amazing . peaceful great view amazing food budget friendly
